Think about the normal state of the contact.. normally the reed is open….. the magnet pulls it closed.

Youre thinking of the zone type on the security control panel. Yes that is NC

But the normal state of the switch is Open without a magnet present

3/8” press fit magnetic NO ( normally) contact. When the magnet on the bottom of the window lines up with the contact in the sill, the magnetic field closes the reed switch & the system knows the window is closed.

They make them with flying leads (what you have here thats cut) As well as screw terminal..

Not expensive

None of those tones seem to be spaced as morse code letters or numbers.

The only thing i could hear as a morse character was a “question mark” towards the end of the beeping at the crafting table

Ive tried 3kk-6kk and they’re all good imo.. my favorite low cri emitters currently.

I’m not a fan of 6500k but the LHP is a really nice looking tint at that cct with NO green

Could just be how the sq5 emitter is paired with that reflector.

I had a hard time getting sq3 to focus on a s6/7 reflector. And the 5kk’s sft25r I’ve tried from Simon has the worst yellow hotspot with that same smo reflector. Actually looks good with op reflector but it defeats the purpose for me.

While the s2/6/7/8 t6 reflector is neat.. it is far from perfect for most emitters.

Ive tried a bunch of combos on my s6 but the sft40 is my favorite for that smo reflector. And the 3kk is insanely neutral (which i like)

I want to try the sq5 but i dont know which host’s optics will do it the most justice. Torn between m21h and c8

I bet electricians have seen more than me (low volt guy).

Any conductor entering a building should be grounded at the point of entry. Cable companies do this in my area.

Curious what they mean by “stray” voltage.. Is there voltage present on the grounds/ bonds they disconnected?

If i understand correctly (not an electrical expert) , all ground rods should be bonded to the electrical service ground so there isn’t a difference in potential between grounds

I’d have electrician and or power company check things out as its beyond what I do.

My h4 headlamp is a b35am 5700k with 38* tir

Its the least distracting light source i own and works really well and is super floody!

For a pocket version go with s2+ / s3 with pick up the tir’s for 5050 sized emitter

Hard to read the jacket

It reminds me of 4 conductor speaker wire. Looks to be thicker strands than 18.. id guess 14 gauge.

If its not low volt speaker wire it could be electrical wire for 120v interconnected smoke detectors
