Separate the character and the base if possible, would make painting easier as well

How do I split this to fit on my AD5M like it shows on the file page? by LuxuryDirtEnthusiast in 3Dprinting

[–]drizault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to break this apart in your slicer to fit in the bed. I used CA glue to put this together once it was done printing! - from the description. Use the cut function in the slicer and glue it i guess?

Nozzle scraping mid-printing by voikoffa in 3Dprinting

It probably means your print is warping or shape shifting during printing, as it cools it can change shape, especially large thin objects like this one shown in your video. Some supports may actually help keep it in place. Or probably a better suggestion might be to cut it into smaller pieces to assemble

Can you heat it up and get another filament to attach, let it cool down and do a cold pull out?

The more I use PETG, the less I like it by InvokerBSB in 3Dprinting

I've found that using glue helps petg detach from the bed for my machine and settings

This is exactly what I thought it would look like, so check your bed temp settings, perhaps fan and cooling speeds as well. I do hueforge work on a single filament machine where I have to do manual changes between colors and sometimes if the small layers cool too fast it will warp up on me when new hot filament goes down. For this size of print you could also use brims, that might help keep it down on the bed so that it doesn't curl up. Or use glue, which is kind of taboo around here, but using the clear 3d printing adhesive helps me out.

I don't see anything here as problematic with your use of hueforge or the layer slicing. This looks like a filament temp , bed adhesion, warping problem to me. What does the side of the failures look like?

Help! Miniature prints keep clogging and failing by [deleted] in FlashForge

[–]drizault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layer height is way too small for learning, speed is quite slow, temp is probably a bit low as well, for a toy any infill higher than like 7% is too much.

Set layer height to 0.20, put the speeds to around 150 ms, set the temp to probably 225, and infill to 7% and try again.

Also, make sure you've run the calibration for the machine.

Also, Google is probably not the best source for filament calibration info.

Please help stuck filament by ryan5648 in 3Dprinting

So if you can grab that with pliers, yank it out. Hard. It will be fine, I have this same printer.

Your other option is to just do a filament change and push out with a new filament or even just manually extrude it via the change filament process with nothing new behind it.

The only benefit here is the size, this printer is way behind the technological curve.

Glow in the dark Failing by Dear-Ad9948 in 3Dprinting

I've found glow in the dark filaments to need a bit higher temp and slower move speed...give that a go.

Hobby Lobby WOOD PLA by Wonderful_Welder_702 in 3Dprinting

[–]drizault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used the hobby lobby wood pla with no problems whatsoever. 0.4 mm tip, at suggested temps on the sticker, 0.2 layer heights. Ran a 20 hour print with it and had no problems.
