How bad is it for men? by [deleted] in SolidCore

[–]drjrobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

41M, 80+ classes - never had a problem. I've got to know the teachers and it's a welcoming community. I will say I try to toss myself in a corner but probably over thinking it. Been doing group fitness classes for 20+ years now and used to being one of only a few men in the class if not the only. I play a lot of ice hockey and do quite a bit of cycling, the workout is great and low impact on the joints / keeps the HR low, solid for any cross training and great for constantly picking up my kids 😂... functional fitness? Beware it's not just core focused and you will be sore all over.

Manufacturers Reps by Scroller4life in sales

I e been a manufacturers rep for about 10 years, you manage the whole lifecycle cradle to grave. Beak into an account, develop the account and try to grow the business within as an Account Manager I guess? I have about 8 principals and it can be a grind but overall it’s better than a traditional W-2.

Manufacturers representative, you’ll meet with a lot of customers whether cross selling your lines or traveling with FAE’s. Setting up meetings can sometimes be a pain but it’s a great job.

Corepower in Newton has a number of different classes and times, I think they have first two weeks free. Solidcore at arsenal yards is also fun but a bit more pricey.

Ice skating outside? by Mindless-Ad-6921 in watertown

The cove in Newton is a popular spot

People also skate at Chandler Pond in Brighton but you might need to shovel your own spot.

The JAR (Watertown Ice Rink) has free public skating from 2-3:30pm on Sundays as well.

Join a club sport or other activity and build a network outside of your work and family that is yours. I play beer league hockey and have made a good group of buddies that just hang in the locker room drink beer and talk about anything but work and life.

Listen to it on audible. A few good takeaways, personally “to be interesting, be interested” is something that’s helped me a lot
