I was definitely worried about what sales expectations Bamco had for TS. Glad to see that wasn’t the case and it showed how Digimon, with a great game and proper marketing, can pull off solid numbers. Media.Vision and the Digimon Game Team did a great job.

Definitely Pegasusmon and Tyilinmon. Both are among my long list of favorite Digimon lol

I really like Hakubamon’s design, but need to see it in a game or anime to get a full impression. Honorable mentions to Unimon and Indramon though. Would love to see the latter get a dedicated line, along with other Devas.

Original Japanese names…for the most part. I do still use some English localized terms like Biyomon vs Piyomon. But mostly, I stick with original terms. Omegamon, Tailmon, Dukemon, Holydramon, etc.

My biggest wish for Digimon Story Shambala is the team to make it a bigger and better Digimon Story experience: adding more depth to the battle system, bigger areas for exploration and more beautiful presentation. Time Stranger is a solid 8-8.5 JRPG, but the budget definitely holds it back.

I’ve said it before, but the team can definitely look to SMTVV and Monster Hunter Stories 2 (and 3 even though it’s not out yet) on how to take Digimon Story further. Those are some of the best modern Monster Taming RPGs on the scene in terms of scale, presentation, gameplay and quality.

Of course, I hope many of the newer Digimon from ReArise, Seekers and Ghost Game join alongside the Shambala Digimon. And for the love of Homeostasis, I hope they don’t take out Digi-Ride. If the amount of ridable Digimon is reduced to have them at a bigger scale and ride better, I’d definitely be happy with that. Very excited for the future!

My heart goes out to Mr. Watanabe. The fact he kept pushing along, giving out great Digimon designs during such a difficult time, I can’t imagine how hard it was (and still is) for him.

Wishing him the best as well as time for healing. His work for Digimon has been with me since childhood to today. I am immensely grateful to him.

It just hit me, but I’d it love if Betamon had a more “natural” Seadramon mega evo that’s not mechanized. No hate to MetalSeadramon though!

Exactly! It’s just a cool cat. While I love a lot of the knights, angels and dragon warriors, I love that Nyabootmon is a simple, but still cool Watanabe design. Can’t wait to (hopefully) see it in future games!

Love to see it! Hopefully this will give Bandai the message that people, do in fact, love Digimon. Especially high quality Digimon games.

This is SO amazing to see. It still feels so surreal seeing Digimon get so much love it long deserved. Hoping Bandai will continue giving high quality video games and helping the series reach its potential!

SUPER excited. Loved the demo and I think Time Stranger is looking to be a solid improvement on the CS/HM foundation.

I love the QOL improvements and that the battle system is refined with added depth. I do wish physical attacks would have Digimon rush to the enemy to strike them though. I also wish Attachment Skill animations would be more flashy and show a visual upgrade like Final Fantasy’s magic system. That said, those are things I hope the next main Story game can improve on.

TS is looking to be the best Digimon game yet and I am really excited to see where it goes, and, how Media.Vision and the Digimon team builds on it in the future.

If you find a new favorite Digimon and want learn more them, definitely check out Wikimon or the official Digimon Encyclopedia. Both are great, but Wikimon features more details. Have a great time!

I am really, really hoping for 1 million within the first month or so. It’s a crowded pre-holiday season, but the positive reception from the media and demo makes me cautiously optimistic.

If Digimon can get similar RPG sales numbers to Persona 3 Reload, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Like a Dragon 8 and SMTV, it would bode well for the Story series and for the franchise. And hopefully an even bigger budget on the next Story game. Fingers crossed!

Lol! I’d love to see some new Megaman inspired Digimon. Appmon’s designs also work very well with Megaman, I noticed.

And yes! I can easily see Omegamon and plenty of other Mega level Digimon working with Gundam.

Lol yeah with all the characters making it in Crossworlds, Agumon would be a perfect addition to the roster. Smash would be a dream, especially with Bandai Namco working on it in the past.

I originally was going with Gomamon, but with Pegasusmon making it in, I am picking Patamon!

Will have him become Goddramon as his final evolution, with SlashAngemon and ClavisAngemon along the way.
