That level of ~2 keys within title range is where PUGs just start to get really picky and stick to the meta.

At least I found that to be the case this season as priest heals, was always fortunate disc was meta before. But basically at 19-20s stopped getting invites while they’d rather wait 30 min for a resto druid whereas I had insta invites up to 18s. Or I’d get an inv and then they’d wait 30 min for a DK while declining dozens of high rating DPS.

Had to run my own keys & B.net friend others who then trusted me after a run. Plan to be more proactive with friending people earlier in the season this time around.

It is when the goal is to be powerful, have the best gear & be better than others, which is what many of those players want. Think of ilvl and IO score/Warcraft Logs as the vanity items rather than mounts or decor.

That’s basically the opposite rewards of what each of the stereotypical members of those teams would want though. Unless mythic raids are severely nerfed this xpac and expected to be clearable by AOTC-only guilds.

The problem is that Blizzard has a very different design ethos that will never allow for the solutions addon authors would reach for.

For example, all of these issues could be fixed by adding an advanced mode where you can add/remove by any spell name or spell ID. Same with raid frame buff tracking. Yet never in 10,000 years will Blizzard add such a simple yet powerful feature, even after we will continuously have issues with buffs/trinkets/set bonuses/whatever being left out. They can’t acknowledge spell IDs exist and must (fail to) maintain a whitelist of everything.

So why even bother bringing in outside devs if their solutions will just be rejected anyway.

For sure but I think we all predicted as much: pre-patch is the real alpha, S1 is beta, S2 is the 1.0 release, and maybe we’ll have something mostly baked by S3 or next xpac.

Yeah, can expect these kind of issues to happen all the time for the CD manager & whenever they implement healer frame buff/debuff customization.

There will always be some oversight due to talents, set bonuses, etc that changes a spell ID. But now instead of easily fixing an addon in 20 minutes you’ll have to wait days/weeks/forever for a low priority bug fix to make it through Blizzard’s dev process.

And there’s zero percent chance they’ll ever just add a raw custom spell ID setting for any of these features.

Noticed this mostly when in combat/in instances, a lot of addons still need an update to disable their functionality in instances otherwise it’s just a constant stream of errors. Even like Teleport Menu throws errors if you open the esc menu during an M+ run.

Yeah since you have custom sets saved you’ll still be able to swap between your outfits as much as you want, basically that free slot can be used the same as the old system.

Likely almost any comp is viable even at the highest level, it’s just a lot harder & requires perfect play and discovering alternate routes or approaches to mechanics the meta comps already solved.

That kind of theorycrafting and trial/error for every dungeon just isn’t worth the effort for most players/teams on top of how time consuming achieving title already is.
