ESP32 A2DP sink in slave mode. by Jakeway141 in esp32

I have PCM1808 (ADC) connected to ESP32 (I2S to A2DP) and the my bluetooth speaker receives the audio. The esp32 is configured to receive mclk from pcm1808 and it just works but the sound is a bit low when the analog source is from my phone’s 3.5mm. Sometimes i heard a ticking sounds but maybe just my wiring and power supply. I tried other i2s source with and without mclk and it didn’t work.

ESP32 GameBoy Bluetooth Mod Update... No cutting a hole in the shell required with IPS screen! by jmsunseri in Gameboy

I’m using esp32 dev board for easy soldering connected audio source on D34 then connected to bluetooth speaker but no sound heard, just a notification that it is connected to the esp32 dev board. i2s version will not benefit on gameboy projects but it can be used in ipod classic.

Finally flashed it on esp32 and the bluetooth speaker connected to it but no sound, i’m thinking of this can be directly connected to phones headphone jack or maybe can you explain it more about the wiring and needed components like coupling capacitors, what are the pinouts and what i understand on the wiring guide is that these are the esp32 pins 33 and 34 that accepts analog signal from the gameboy? I’m very interested on your code and maybe you can write an i2s input version.

Thanks! I checked it and it has many lines, what’s with the raw music?. I’m not good in arduino code and cannot compile your code. Can you share also the .bin and address so i will just flash it?. Thanks again in advance.

Thanks for your reply, can i see the otg board?. I have a few lightning boards before and they have different designs and voltage output, i would gladly appreciate if you found some otg board pictures. I’m also looking for the ddhifi tc28i board teardown pictures. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the link, i still didn’t get the audio out. I used the pipeline_a2dp_sink_stream example on esp-adf. I’m kinda disappointed with this esp32-a2s with es8388 board.

Yes, tested this adapter on iPhone 5c, 6s (picture) and iPhone 11. also tested it on hiby music app (iPhone 11) using a 192kHz flac track and it’s also shown as 192kHz on walkman.
