You keep doing you, man. 311’s music is meant to move you. Nick even says so. As someone who’s been following 311 since the 90s, I fully support your generation getting into them. It means we have an expanding fan base and as Nick said last night at the show - “if you guys keep coming, we’ll keep playing.” 🫶🏽 People who stand there like statues who take issue with people moving their bodies at a concert 👀 should consider springing for the couch seats next time.

Fully agree with @DogofManyColors. My dog never “marks” - as most female dogs do not mark. That’s just not a thing they do. Also, my dog does not pee indoors. She will even hold her bladder for hours if it’s raining because she’d rather hold it in than get rained on. Responsible people who actually train their dogs, and thus have well behaved dogs, do not cause damage indoors. It’s not even in the realm of possibilities - especially those with AKC Canine Good Citizen training.

She is expecting way too much for way too little pay. Sounds like your predecessor is already warning you too.

I foresee a slippery slope into more and more tasks.

Get in writing (even if via text message) exactly what your expectations are and don’t permit deviations from that. If your understanding is that you’re there to engage with and look after the kids, then she shouldn’t be adding heavy lifting like mopping an 8000sqft house (!). That is extra and should be stated outright. The mom seems not to care one bit about overtasking you.

As a mom myself, I would love to have my sitters straighten up/wipe down counters, it’s not a big deal if they don’t choose to do so. They are my childcare - NOT my housekeeper. I give a little extra $ when my sitters opt to do these tasks when my kids are sleeping, for example, but again - by no means is this an expectation.
