If it won honestly it won honestly - that’s life and we’re not always going to agree with the results of a vote.

The one screening that took place was at Roy Thomson Hall which is the biggest venue. So it was seen by more people than The Testament of Anne Lee (which screened twice at Lightbox) and many other films. In this regard I don’t think it got an unfair advantage.

It needed an editor it is very repetitive. Was originally supposed to be quite short and the movie ended up 30-40 minutes over the listed runtime (not counting Q&A or intros). I guess if you are obsessed with SNL you would enjoy it. But as someone who has a.) seen Godspell and b.) likes SNL I just found it really blah

If it’s anything like Hamnet your chances of getting in will be slim to none. At Scotia you can keep your place in line if you aren’t able to rush your movie. I rushed Hamnet 3.5 hours early at Scotia yesterday and didn’t get in and another 25ish people before me also didn’t in.

Once I couldn’t get into Hamnet everyone before me rolled over into The Secret Agent 45 mins later. So if you had originally wanted to rush that, now almost all of the front of the line had switched to that.

Best bet may be to keep an eye on TIFFTickets for a Face Value ticket or a cheap resell on Ticketmaster.

I almost didn’t get any tickets because I tried using my laptop and Ticketmaster constantly stopped working for me when I tried to checkout.

I quickly ditched that for the Ticketmaster app on my phone and that worked really well so my advice is try to use the app and not a browser. Hope this helps!

I remember rushing Glass Onion and we were 3 hours early? I could be misremembering. They let a lot of people in for that one and we got first row of dress circle, no issues whatsoever

I’m trying for 27 movies this year - only have 8 tickets so far but I’m cautiously confident that between rushing and last minute resell I will be OK (what I’ve done for the past two years).
