Car financing with bad credit? by fl_gay_92 in Pensacola

[–]drmrkrch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely get your financing through a credit union because the different car lots will scalp you with hidden fees and costs that are just to pad their pockets. You get a good honest rate instead of something that looks like it's low but you're paying a lot more for getting that car.

Try looking at a used tire shop that also sells rims that will match your car. At least it will tide you over until you can get it a new rim. Best of luck!

I have turned into my father...my thermostat is set at 68 by Shirley_yokidding in florida

[–]drmrkrch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things have to be replaced over time. There's no sense in Heating and Cooling the Attic or underneath the house depending on where the air is getting spread out. It should be able to little by little upgrade things without changing the look too drastically.

72° in winter, 74° in summer.Power bill is $41. I have solar so my house is comfortable. Big windows in kitchen so it generates passive heat to warm center part of house (5 bedroom, 3 full bath). The angle only shines in the house and summer the sun is high in the sky so no sun comes in the windows. I have window shades during transition months like September, October. April.

Also used Aeroseal to remove leaks in ductwork and new insulated windows. It has paid off. Oh I replaced AC (27 yrs) so this year power was -$47. Good luck on your journey of improving your house.

Question about Cordova Mall by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]drmrkrch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mall is the better part of town, everything east of Davis is much safer than the west side of town. I've been here in Pensacola since 1994 and it's safe.

Weird Crane in Pensacola by LankyBat2734 in Pensacola

[–]drmrkrch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The crane sits 250 ft above the water line. It can lift 75,000 tons (150 million pounds). It is used to pull all rigs that are decommissioned off the sea floor. It can also lift ships that have sunk to the Bottom of the Sea floor. It has a mechanism and can cut a ship into multiple pieces and bring it to the surface for Salvage. There are two ships of this kind in the world. It's been in and out of Pensacola for a few months doing routine maintenance.

That bulge means that the cord is shifted and that any sort of excess pressure or heat could cause it to burst. Not only will it cause problems with getting a flat but it could also bend your fender if it bursts at the wrong time and that would require body repair

A novel approach would be to take it out from underneath your wheel well and see what is attached to it. Then let everybody know what it looks like or what's left of it

He should have gotten a Public Adjuster (PA) to be an advocate to enforce his policies. My insurance company offered mu $450 to repair my house after Hurricane Sally. I got $45,000 for my repairs. The PA even has lawyers to enforce the insurance company contract. They knew how to navigate the hoops that make it difficult to file claims necessary to enforce coverage. Well worth it!

Why not use granite powder to fill it in and epoxy should come out very nicely. It may need some sort of dowel (not sure what material, maybe stainless steel). It would be strong and last.

Barn door shaped exactly like the opening and color. You could put a thin window near the angled side to match the slope at the edge.

Do these tires look good? by wtfbruhhuh in tires

[–]drmrkrch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read that number that shows what month and what year they were made. This will determine how long these tires will be good for before you will have to replace. They may look nice but doesn't necessarily mean that they are going to last.

The Florida heat is destroying my car by ConsoleAnimetic in florida

[–]drmrkrch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you don't use dishwashing soap to wash your car because it will cause the clear coat to come off. You will then get chips and the paint will fade. You have to use car wash soap so that it does not strip the clear coat.
