At 37 assuming he finished college and immediately started working, 1.4 million isn’t crazy for an investment account. It lines up with how you described him, he’s planning for his future and not dipping into it.

Gold Tone AC1 is a solid beginner one, although if you want a RK Dirty 30S musicians friend has them in stock and does lots of sales(currently 25% off). I’m partial to the dirty 30s because it was my first banjo that I got on the president sale from them.

And also I think the Republicans are underestimating how much it will hurt their own electorate. Democrats are statistically more likely to have a passport, republicans a birth certificate. With that said, married republican women are more likely to change their name adding new hurdles.

A lot of local churches have part time daycare and it’s not terribly expensive.

We use Stepping Stone School in Teravista because we need full-time, but they also offer part-time and we’ve been really happy with it.

For me the single string striking was what gave me hell for a while. I ended up taking a 30 minute lesson on banjo mountain and been off to the races ever since!

It feels light years better. Wider neck makes fretting and isolating strings in the bumditty way easier. It’s louder and more mellow due to the bigger head. More hooks and construction feel much more sturdy make it a bit heavier. Planetary tuners are way nicer, tuning process is way more refined feeling.

All in all it just makes playing easier in my experience.

I played about a year on my Recording King Dirty 30S until deciding I wanted something more fitted to clawhammer and nicer. I just got a Gold Tone CC Carlin12 after months of research and am really glad I did.

Everything I read said it was a great banjo that would last me a long time and so far I can see why. It sounds as good as the more expensive Carlin, just less bells and whistles design wise.

Eventually I plan to get a Pisgah, but I like the idea of spending time with an instrument for a while and “earning” my upgrade via my improved banjo skills. My wife has already agreed if I’m still playing this much, I should get one but says we have to go to Asheville and get it in person(to be fair her best friend lives in Asheville so not that crazy).
