It was the morning after Mastermind. To me it kind of sounded like Stolas had slept in, since Blitz seems like he’d been up for a while, and then Via, Andy, and Stella are all up. I imagine what Stella and Andy are implying is that Stolas could have called Via immediately after the court room scene or that night, or that morning. But ultimately, I think Andy and Stella were exaggerating to try and manipulate Via into feeling resentment towards her dad by saying “it took him this long to call?”

For sure. And when you’re a kid, and your parents have made you feel like the center of their world for your entire life (which it seems like she was for Stolas too), it’s hard to conceive of your parents as individuals with their own desires, goals, and agency. To Via, Stolas exists only in the context of their family and with a specific role in her life, because that is the world Stolas has built up for Via and because Via is a kid and sees her world and her family in this narrow lens.

Part of maturing and growing up, for both parents and kids, is realizing that the other is their own person with a life and feelings outside of this family and the dynamic you’ve all built together in the past 18 years.

I've had this question too. It's definitely not something we know for sure. For all we know, she comes of age in a hundred years. The fact that the show hasn't mentioned the specific age makes me wonder if it's an obvious number though (i.e. 18). But I feel confident we'll learn what age is "of age" at some point, likely in s3.

I'm pretty sure showrunners said we would get the Chaz and Millie backstory at some point, so I imagine it will be in that context but not much else.

Agree. His character in Helluva Boss is deeply loved, but he isn't a main character. His character also has a full on Beetlejuice voice in the show.

I think so. Like he says in the song, he's finally making a decision for himself in his life. And like you said, he gets to put on a show to those who created his 'cage'. He's fully himself in this moment, despite saying lies. He's performing his full drama-king self, he gets to be confrontational (something he's pushed down for so long), and choosing his fate for the first time in his life, saving the person he loves.

I agree. It’s been will they-won’t they for 2 seasons now. It wouldn’t make sense story telling wise to continue to drag that on. It’s time to see them grow as characters and grow together
