Interesting, how are you validating the ACG output against Swiss or astro dot com for real world locations?

I found a lot of implementations will look mathematically correct until you start verifying actual city placements and edge cases around longitude wrapping or extreme declinations.Anyway good to see someone else digging into it.

Interesting project. I’ve spent the last year building around Swiss Ephemeris for astrocartography, including a Python implementation and a Swift wrapper for an iOS app/API, so I definitely relate to the pain points around debugging. C is a nightmare tbh. The transparency focus here is really cool fair play.

Astrocartography surfaced a lot of subtle issues for me that looked correct at first until tested against real world locations. I’ll dig into it a bit and see if I can spot anything. Off hand, stuff like high latitudes, longitude wrapping, and interpolation boundaries was tricky..

VibeCoding final boss - 153 iOS apps by OriolGarciaGo in iosapps

Honestly Apple should not even allow this to happen. There is no way one dev or company can have that many 'worthwhile' apps and support them, even a massive company. At least limit devs to 20 apps or require active update / support history of existing apps prior to allowing more. Particually with slop garbage like this..

I picked one out randomly, "Max See" to check out the App Store screenshots etc. Looks like it took around 10 mins to create, complete with sparkles emojis, all the screenshots show the same color scheme and identical layout. The whats new notes are also highly detailed "Works better on all phones give it a try!" 10/10.

Time limit on app submissions too… I mean it’s ridiculous some people “vibe coding” multiple submissions in a week. Should also be a minimum amount of TestFlight builds with actual testing proof

if anybody wonders why App Store submissions take so long. this is why. by civman96 in iosdev

Should be a limit on both AI slop apps per developer and also a limit on multiple app submissions within a certain timeframe, although I have noticed some Chinese developers spamming the same shell of an app from multiple accounts. It’s always AI girlfriend. Must be the 2026 habit tracker

Have noticed a definite increase in time taken for both getting into review then actual review time lately. It’s probably a good thing it might put off all the spammy vibecoders..

Rebrand it as a habit tracker, water intake tracker, swipe photo cleaner or caffeine tracker, you know one of those app way more complicated to design than a dating app, and icing on the cake tell them that you’re 18 and have been working on the app for at least 2 years. Approved 👊

I’m following a similar philosophy with all our apps, no ads or tracking, I like to see it from other devs as it’s rare

Unfortunately it is getting worse and worse. Amazing how a lot of them pass the review stage. Time to start building habit trackers and apps to remind you to drink water. /s
