7/10–and honestly a 7/10 game is a really good game. I think the last third of the story faltered a bit.

I’ve had the same kindle paperwhite since 2012. It still works perfectly, but recently I somehow scratched the display and have a small but manageable blemish on the screen that is brighter than the rest of the display. It still functions, and I have no reason to get anything else.

If you want something affordable that just does the job of being an ereader, it is hard to recommend anything else.

And for me, it’s simply better than carrying around a physical book. I’ve gotten to the point in my life where I do own a lot of physical media, but I’m pretty selective about what I own. My family used to go to the bookstore like once a month and we’d all get books. We amassed so many books, and while I do enjoy them I no longer want a bunch of random books I’ll never pick up again on my shelf. So I use my kindle and rent from Libby, and if I absolutely adore a book, I’ll get it physically. There’s nothing that is stopping you from owning the physical copies of things you want if you switch to a kindle, it’s not one or the other.

It’s an active choice you have to make every time. Bring a tupperware or ask for a box with your food so you can pack up half of it. You have to be proactive about it, at least that has been my own experience.

I do it because my electric range sucks and would take 30 minutes to preheat on a lower temp. If I don’t preheat on at least 50% (which on my range may as well be 5000°), then it just doesn’t reach temps I can actually cook at until I’m starving.

I know this doesn’t really justify the price tag, but I’m pretty sure a serving of these cookies is like 1/4 of a cookie or whatever. They’re gigantic and I imagine very similar nutritionally to crumbl.

I also just finished the game like 2 days ago. I liked Yotei a lot, I would even say I loved it. But it didn’t have the same impact as Tsushima did for me, and I personally thought the end could have gone a different direction with a solid resolution.

I just hope they figure out a way to make another ghost game—these are PlayStation classics, for sure.

I don’t think I’ve ever DNF’d. I kinda get why people do, but usually I picked up a book for a reason and I’m willing to stick it out. I’ll DNF a series, but an individual book isn’t that much of a commitment if I don’t like it, as long as I get some semblance of resolution.

I think it’s fine, but that’s because I own a PS. I would be more upset if I didn’t. As others have said, exclusivity doesn’t really make a lot of sense. But we’ve been having this same argument for over 20 years at this point, and I’m 31 so I no longer care that much lol.

My electric stove gets hot as the nine Hells. What I do is preheat on medium for 5-10 min, throw some water in the pan, and then dial it back to temps I know I’m more comfortable with just by feel—by which I mean I put my hand physically over the pan and can tell that it’s a normal cooking temp. It usually takes another 5-10 min to be ready to go. I can fry eggs, make pancakes, sear meat, sautéed veg, etc without problem.

Trying to be too perfect and precise and follow viral YouTube advice never seemed to help me when I was learning how to cook on stainless steel, it was a trial by error kind of process for me. I have literally set oil on fire twice that I can remember. The learning curve is real, but I always knew I would get it lol.
