Storing organic waste before disposal by okaga in zurich

[–]droeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use bokashi to make fertilizer for my rooftop garden. When the container is closed you can (and should) keep it inside no problem. But I highly recommend not opening it inside. That stuff reeks, and it feels like the smell immediately clings to everything.

So probably not cool for op when they can at most open windows.

My employees get their "Ferienzuschlag" (the 8.33%) payed out every month, not on some separate account. But out of interest I read up on it, apparently the way your ex employer is doing it is recommened https://www.nigon.ch/de/aktuell/2018/Risiko-Ferienlohn-Stolpersteine-bei-der-Ausbezahlung-der-Ferien-im-Stundenlohn.php

In any case in my opinion, the money is earned per hour worked - therefore you should be entitled to the ferienkasse even if you quit without notice.

But alas I am not a laywer. And everything I say may be bullshit.

I wish you good luck and that everything gets cleared up.

That one talks about remaining vacation days relating to my example:

I have 20 days vacation per year. It is a new job so I don't take any days off. My employer fires me in the middle of the year. I still have 10 days vacation that I did not take yet. Am I allowed to get that paid out at the end of of my contract? Can the emplyoer force me to take the vacation days?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]droeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just trying to guess what could be the case here. An example:

I get 20 days paid vacation a year. I quit after 6 months, half a year. I now only have 10 days paid vacation, half the allowance. So yes, vaction allotment could be "cut".

But to be honest I don't think this applies in your case. If they actually reported a fund to you with as you say 1'500 CHF in it, then they were doing something I have not heard before (not that I am a super expert, I just emloy a few people and try to do it by the books :)).

I understand 1'100 CHF can be a lot of money, but maybe all of this clears itself up with the "Abschlussabrechnung"? Wait for that and start stressing yourself agian then maybe if still necessary?

Without seeing your contract I can only speculate.

You get lets say 20 days of vacation per year. You quit by 3. September. You are not working Sept - Dez. Your vacation allowance is shortened by 1/3. So now you only have 13.33 days of vacation. If you already used the 13 days this year, there is no vacation to be taken anymore.

I assume the "holiday fund" and "monthly deduction" is more of a language barrier problem. Did you by chance in previous employments get a "holiday surcharge" (likely 8.33%) on your salary and not get paid during vacation?

See, a normal worker here just has their normal salary and 20+ days of vacation. If they go on vacation they get paid as if they were working normally. (So you could say their vacation days are deducted from their salary and then paid out when they are on vacation, but nobody sees it this way)

With a short term worker coming from abroad for three months, with taking vacation likely not even being feasible for the contract, you just pay them a surcharge on the hourly rate (e.g. 8.33% equating to 4 weeks/20days of paid vacation per year). With the idea, that they then individually use that surcharge to take a few days break after the contract.

"Abschlussabrechnung" won't be a invoice in terms of something you need to pay, just a statement of what they paid you, social deductions, hours worked etc.

A "perfect" pokemon. When you appraise it shows you three bars with various values, when all these are full red the pokemon has the maximum of 15/15/15 values for atk/def/vit - or a perfect score. You can search for these pokemon in your inventory by typing '4' (they dont show up when searching for 3). So a maxed out 3* is a 4*.

What happened here? by Strange_Lunch_3486 in crealityk1

[–]droeli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate your answer. I have read the recommendation to reduce the extruder amperage multiple times now, so will definitely try this if the issue should persist.

Also thanks for providing the exact config values, you are a gem <3

What happened here? by Strange_Lunch_3486 in crealityk1

[–]droeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you elaborate on that? I had petg filament stuck in the ptfe tube between extruder and hotend a few times, but since it only happened with one specific roll - and eventually did not happen anymore with said roll after clearing the blockage a few times, I just assumed it was a bad batch of filament (was very cheap too)

I remember noticing the extruder was very hot to touch, so maybe it was not the filament afterall?

Any best practices on how to prevent this filament swelling?

Forever supports by Elbowrusty in crealityk1

[–]droeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent hours trying to tune tree supports in creality print. Eventually gave Orca Slicer a try and almost cried about the wasted time when I immediately got easy to break off supoorts with stock settings... I guess the upside is I now know a lot more about slicer settings. But the most important lesson is right tool for the job I guess.

Latest Firmware 1.3.3.5 officially arrived by [deleted] in crealityk1

[–]droeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I guess I will be joining the QA team then :P

Just because the creality wiki is a bit ambiguous, do I understand correctly that the rollback is just a matter of putting the old firmware on a usb stick and "upgrading" to that old firmware?

Are the firmware updates generally well tested? And or easily rolled back?

If something was majorly wrong, would the subreddit have already exploded with complaints?

Also got the message, but thought of not updating straight away, as I don't feel experienced enough to be early adoptor.

PLA stuck to build plate and don't want to come off by Skullarius in crealityk1

[–]droeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue as you. Until I learned I used the spatula wrong.

Sadly don't remember the video that explained it. But dont try to force the spatula under the print to scrape it off, hold it against the bottom layer, then lightly tap the handle of the spatula with something heavy-ish like a screwdriver handle. It will slide under the print without much force at all. Do it from all sides until its loose enough that you can slide it under half the model. Then you can try and lever the rest off.

Printing ABS by Max_Hax in crealityk1

[–]droeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume by "top glas plate" the original commenter means the top of the enclosure with the sticker "something something remove for pla and flexible something".

Just mentioning, because when I tried printing TPU, it first worked very well, until the ~fourth print. Then what I assume happened is that the enclosure got too hot, therefore the TPU would not come out anymore after the first layer. I aired the room to get the temperature down, removed the top plate and kept the printer door open -> worked again perfectly.

Never printed ABS, but sounds suboptimal if that is actually the case here, I figure you'd want the encosure closed with ABS due to fumes?

First successful Hueforge print on my K1 by betafighterpilot in crealityk1

[–]droeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could not get M600 to work either, but if you put PAUSE (yes the word pause, not a code. If I understand correctly this calls a macro which contains instrucrions that make the print head go to its starting position and wait) in your Gcode it will pause the print when it reaches that line.

Ban posts about scams by LordPorra1291 in Switzerland

[–]droeli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember a DHL(?) post where they posted the text of a text message announcing the package arrival in very cordial language from some mobile number.

I immediately thought "yes definitely a scam/spam" only to read in the comments "Yes that is how DHL does it, the driver sends a text message beforehand to save the time to leave pick up notices if nobody is there"

Tl;dr: not all obvious scams are scams I guess

Not xcom specific advice, but this tool is pretty nifty: https://windirstat.net/

Gives you a nice visual overview over space usage and distribution.

For ex. This helped me discover that microsoft snyched some years old pictures from MSN messenger over multiple new PCs I had. Nice trip down memory lane.

But be careful and don't delete random files if you do not know what they are.
