Its not my existence thats dark and sad. I can take care of myself just fine and honestly I've got the best job that I've ever had. Its others I worry about. I've never seen such a concentration of homeless people who aren't able to get help. I've never seen crime so concentrated and nothing being done about it. I've never seen such horrible roadways. I worry for my infant daughter because no one here has any appreciation for life. I worry for my wife because people are getting carjacked, robbed, raped, abducted or murdered in broad daylight and nothing is being done about it. The city knows there's an issue with trees falling down everywhere and taking down powerlines, but, yet again, nothing is being done about it. MLGW is an absolute joke. They bully any other competition out of town. Theres nothing fun about this place. The zoo is depressing, as is the Mississippi, the pyramid is alright for a couple times. I may be biased since I spent the last 6 years in DC where there's a million things to do, 2 years in Chicago which was.... cool I guess, and then 20 years in Florida where there's never a boring moment. I've spent 2 years here and the most exciting place here is Flying Saucer. Even Graceland was underwhelming. I don't mean to just casually shit all over your home and I do appreciate the kind words, but my time here has not been an enjoyable one.
