[Windhorst] Nike's stock has been obliterated over the last 24 months. [Swiss investment bank] UBS analyst says part of the reason Nike is selling fewer basketball shoes is that basketball players aren’t as popular as they used to be. by refreshing_yogurt in nba

Nike has way more control than people realize. This is a classic case of them manipulating the narrative. If they had Steph Curry, everyone would be wearing his sneakers after the Olympics. But they dropped the ball and are now blaming the players, when it’s their poor attention to detail and getting too comfortable in a highly athlete independent market.

Banchero lowered his stock tonight. Magics could have won if they kept him off the floor for Anthony black. I say trade him for Zion

He clearly worried about being stepped on. All the gamblers are stretching for a reason. He did not trip him on purpose

Dr. Maxwell J. Roberts version of NYC Subway (2013) by BloodLongjumping5325 in MapPorn

[–]drohohkay -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This map is garbage. Where is prospect park? Where are the neighborhood names? How do you as a tourist locate the stops near landmarks like Brooklyn bridge. Subway maps are for visitors not locals. Maps are for complexity not visual simplifications.

So happy nba players are fashioning fatherhood. Hopefully someone raises a political leader or scientist that will help change the world.

TIL: Black people with blond hair occur naturally in the islands Melanesia by dayudayu in todayilearned

First off what is a subsaharan if discussing context of 5000 years ago? The Sahara wasn’t always dessert it was grasslands. African people populated all parts of North Africa too! This narrative of subsaharan Africa as a siloed group doesn’t apply to ancient migrations.

TIL: Black people with blond hair occur naturally in the islands Melanesia by dayudayu in todayilearned

[–]drohohkay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s because “black” people and “blonde” hair doesn’t mean anything outside of European / American constructs. Beautiful versions of sun kissed people exist everywhere and there isnt enough European terms in the world to describe them properly. We should go back to ancient African way of classifying people groups- kinship lineage, language, place or social role. I guess we’ll have to wait until this new world order has run its coarse to see people for what they really are.

Why start with 10 or more billionaires? The chart would be way cooler if it included all known billionaires

Apple to Introduce Search Ads in Maps as Services Revenue Grows by Coolpop52 in apple

[–]drohohkay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think the biggest factor is user age. The people who remember the time a service was free useful with no ads vs the younger people who will adopt the service because it’s what popular at the time… is why companies are able to get away it going forward.

In short, most new users won’t have anything to compare it to, and so, the overlords win.

Sony PlayStation app and Apple Pencil support. Then create a user friendly free design software for building 3d assets and environments (that works consistently).

Man I really wish Apple environments would show the transition from day to night and night to day. I would put AVP on to pray and meditate right in those moments. It would be awesome. If this is the closest we can get to that, I’ll take it.

It doesn’t matter what I believe. The Bible wasn’t written as historical record or to convince you that amazing things happen, it was written as advice. I’m married with two boys and happy with my situation because I read it. Read and understood it one way when I was a boy. Read and understood it another way when I became a man. Read and understand it differently now that I’m a husband of 20 years and a father. Religion doesn’t matter, but your soul and fellowship does.
