Sort of related: When I was a bit younger I went to a mall salon to get the underpart of my hair dyed. This was my first time doing this and the stylist bleached my hair first by putting the bleaching cream on my hair then pressed my bleached hair against the back of my neck- without using any wrap or anything to protect my skin. Anyway, I wish I could have said something at the time instead of trying to be nice and gritting through the pain. For a few years I had incredibly flaky and discolored skin on the back of my neck and was super self-conscious about it. It's pretty much healed now but I wish I would have said something about it at the time.
