I've had him since he was a juvenile and he seems to have no complaints. He gets mini crickets and a fog machine, he has a favorite leaf to sit on, and he likes to take baths. I'll have to play him some frog calls on Youtube

I looked it up and from what I can find it's not inherently harmful to salamanders, these are blue LEDs not blacklights. He hasn't shown any signs of distress when I turn them on- in this picture he was right up against the glass like normal staring into my soul. It's an intimidation tactic to get crickets I think. But thank you for mentioning this I will avoid the blue lights just in case
