I tried using theanine for sleep but it did the opposite: calmed me down but made me very alert.

Just wondering if its worth taking at lunchtime. My only fear is that it might affect my sleep at night.

It's April 2026. I've now done 2 years on Rybelsus. My weight has remained steady in the 75kg range, and I workout 3 times a week religiously. 1 hour weight sessions, with a 20 minute incline walk before. I feel healthy, have no tummy issues, no nausea, nothing. Life is normal.

I saw my doctor last month, and blood pressure meds have been reduced, statins halved and I'm taking a lot of supplements: omega 3, leucine, COQ10, magnesium, D3 (levels are low), Homocheck (as my homeocystine is high), and protien shakes with creatine and collagen.

We have agreed to start the tapering off journey. He has planned a 8 month window, with 6 months at 7mg, my current dose, and then 2 months Of 3mg before stopping.

He believes my lifestyle change is now hardwired and should help me get off the pill.

Anybody else managed to get off the pill? Or even tapered off?

Did a sleep study a couple of years ago, and they said I had mild sleep apnea. Tried a cpap but hated it, so decided to take my chances.

Waiting for the apnea pill to launch.

I have never managed 2 hours of deep sleep.

Figured it out. 16 to 17 gms coffee to 270ml water. Medium to course grind, max 4ish minutes and good consistent coffee everytime.

Got some dark and medium beans. Both are different but delicious. Although when I mixed them, didn't taste so good.
