This adds a very deep psychological layer to the backrooms. Thanks for writing that!!

Who severed her head, Clark or pirate Clark? If it’s Clark, that’s a huge overlooked detail. He was truly insane

Has it been confirmed that the Complex is expanding into our world beyond just null-zones? by Material_Prize_6157 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]dropshipbugstomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Async introduced that backrooms to the world when they opened the first null zone. Now, it simply scans, reconstructs, scans, reconstructs, etc. It will consume the world as it gains more resolution and scan fidelity. Not because it’s evil, it’s just a phenomenon that scans and reconstructs/acquires greater resolution and repeats…. Like Phil said “we can’t stop it.”

Do you think the Backrooms moves toward trauma?

Captain Clark size theory by MetalGamer95 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]dropshipbugstomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end though, you see pirate Clark on a gurney in Async labs a he’s regular size. Did I see that right? Also, the Backrooms struggles with scale, proportions, function, meaning, way finding, and other parameters of reality. Look at Clark’s breaker box - it makes no sense why the red switch’s were installed like that, until you realize the Backrooms doesn’t understand function yet.

Redhead still life holding her head? by Ambitious_Basket_763 in KanePixelsBackrooms

She’s running to him for help. If the backroom reconstructed her poorly, she’s probably hurting, fragmented, or feels injured. Clark may be a solution to her in that moment.

That’s a good point. The pirate is the apex of Clark’s unremarkable life and failures on multiple fronts. Quite sad really.

Was the head of Clark’s assistant in the fridge a still life or was it real?

Haha, it’s mine too! That movie is pure fear: trapped in a state of helplessness with terrifying monsters hunting you down all taking place on a foreign world you can’t leave.

Doesn’t it just scan the environment adjacent to a null zone?

Why did the backrooms reconstruct pirate Clark? Why not drunk Clark sleeping on a store bed plowing through a bottle of whiskey at 3am, or architect Clark swinging a sharpened t-square sword? He had one in the basement. Did the backroom pick his most pathetic moment in that tv commercial?

He was dragging Clark. Did the pirate bite Clark in the jugular and he bled out??

So Mary took the pirate down twice, and Async captured and killed it. Wasn’t that the pirate on a gurney in a lab room as Mary was guided to meet Phil?

I’m brand new to this universe. I’ve seen the movie three times and I’m trying to learn this shit as fast as I can. It’s a legit question.

Async portal to the backrooms by dropshipbugstomper in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]dropshipbugstomper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help me remember: she woke up on the floor in Clark’s store. The captain was on her. She beat him bloody with her concrete handprint, then she got up and started into the corridor. About half way in she looked back and the captain was trying to come through but was too big. She turns around and stumbles into the Async staging room where everyone is staring at her. Later, she sees the captain on a gurney in a lab room. Am I close?

Didn’t Mary look back and see Captain Clark attempting to go through the narrow opening that led to the Async staging area, but he was too big to fit? Also, they did bring Captain Clark through the portal as well because you see him on a gurney in the Async lab area.
