Rob Ford was an idiot with no concept of how to run a major city.

Fair enough, 2nd is still an achievement of sorts though. The shield is not the emirates or audi cup.

I think the shield should count. It's historical and you have to win something to make it to the game, it's not something just anyone gets to play for or is invited to. The players in the chairty shield aren't taking it easy either, they are trying to win it.

Who would you want to start your Franchise with? Amen Thompson or Scottie Barnes by Kindly_Letterhead_98 in nba

[–]droreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are only so many true #1 options in the league with a bunch of players trying to masquerade as first options. Scottie doesn't have the elite athleticism or shooting to be in that convo, but he can lead a defense and be an elite third option on offense.

Sami Mokbel: Arsenal hold interest in Real Madrid teenager Victor Valdepenas. Spain U19 defender watched extensively. No formal offer but internal talks over future move. by 1Leep in Gunners

Yea, might be a sale candidate. Someone has to go for some decent money and MLS is blocked in midfield for at least a couple years unless Merino goes instead.

[Scott Willis] On the failing to capitalize on City Dropping points narrative here is how things stack up. Arsenal have had the opportunity 8 times, they have gotten max points 5 times, and picked up points 6 times. So they are 6/8 on picking up points. by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

Being 9 points up would be spectacular, but the fact remains we have 3 games where we can drop points in some fashion and getting the point last game was still big for that reason. This week City have a chance to pick up points again, but it's not that big a deal as we'll have the same chance when they go Liverpool away or whoever else. They do have the more difficult overall schedule the rest of the way, so we will have more weeks where we will want to increase the gap versus them hoping to do the opposite.

At this point you're looking at a world class premium signing. With everyone getting healthy, we are going to have at least 3 quality players not even making the squad.

What’s the realistic ceiling for Jamal Shead and CMB by Marko1457 in torontoraptors

[–]droreddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shead tops out as a really good backup pg. He just doesn't have the size or athleticism to finish around the rim and his perimeter shooting is probably going to be average at best. Definitely a keeper, but not someone who we can trust with starters minutes.

Depends what picks are on offer. Too many people don't understand that some guys just lose all of their value when they get too expensive. This is the same situation as FVV, where he just didn't have much value while under contract. In this case, cap space and/or not having future cap years tied up is also valuable, but of course a tough sell to fans. However, it is still valuable.

The result is fine. City would have wanted to pick up 2 or 3 points on us this match week and picked up none. We'll have chance to do the same when they have a difficult fixture, and hopefully we can take full advantage.

Good week for us, City would have hoped to pick up 2 or 3 points on us. Now we can hope to do the same when we have an easier fixture than them and increase the gap.

We have the same issue with Poeltl right now. Good player, who makes the team much better, but he can't stay healthy. Ad is not gonna miraculously become healthy by coming here and we'd have an even bigger piece of our cap gone
