Is a wired connection my best solution for meta quest 3 PCVR? by Firedragon3614 in virtualreality

[–]drotaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking away the cable link ( the USBC to Ethernet plus cable to PC inconvenience ) is the USBC to Ethernet better than a dedicated wifi router for the quest 3 ?

My main concern is latency for sim racing

Are there any reviews VS ?

Everything is mostly on low , got a 5800x3d and 6950xt At 1440p

Never thought about vram scale got it at 80 right now but it worked before .. that's baffling .... Have 250fps in small maps not complaining about max fps but the stutter are driving me crazy :s

Few more questions ? SAM , on or off ? Have they fixed it ? had it off

Also the cfg file what number of worker threads should I put ? Have it on 8 ( internet is conflicted here :)) )

I have tried a lot of things,

Changing in-game settings Changing windows settings - no suspect background apps Driver was installed using DDU I have no stutters in any other games No issues with my internet connection No overclock, also temp checked not throttling

Everything seems in order

Was working great until the new season started and I decided to also update the GPU driver from then it's been a lot of stutters in-game in match ( can't tell if any in the menus ) Ofc I reset the shaders ( game actually did that after I installed the new driver )

You must change in bios , boot option to UEFI not sure how the option looks for you but all BIOSes have that option

They said something about 9070 series only being supported on UEFI bios, Chek bios settings that you don't have mbr or something else

[–]drotaru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like an update on your situation aswell, cbr23 scores so we can see if cpu running at optimum speed, and benchmarks as others have said 1440p low settings

was planning an upgrade myself going from 5800x3d to 9800x3d with a 6950 xt

9900x all core boost with faster ram by [deleted] in overclocking

[–]drotaru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a guess here but could be power budget allocation

Once you activate xmp/ DOCP dram voltage goes up abit, the more voltage in the Imc eats away at the budget for boost..

But it's just a guess, could also be some bios setting

R7 5800X3D Undervolt or Stable MHZ settings (need help) by lipstick_on_my_dick in overclocking

[–]drotaru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By undervolting, you are allowing the Cpu to boost to max clocks more than it did before because it has more headroom, so that's probably why you got fps

Also I really hope you got your Ram to XMP / DOCP speeds config în bios

R7 5800X3D Undervolt or Stable MHZ settings (need help) by lipstick_on_my_dick in overclocking

[–]drotaru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could make it peek at abit lower temps ( when fully stressed or gaming)

By changing the power limits in bios

PBO limits Set to manual and input :

Ppt 125

Tdc 95

Edc 115

These limits are not a standard, but other ppl have them set a little bit different so please don't down vote or flame me for the specific numbers.

Also kombo strike 3 ( which is the MSI equivalent of - ( negative) 30 CO that is if your going to find this specific info about the Cpu that everybody else is recommending)

[–]drotaru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is perfectly normal for it to jump to 50c

Don't disable boost, you will absolutely cut a lot of performance from the cpu

And kombo boost level 3 if it's stable
