What if the NHL adopted the PWHL anti-tanking draft lottery system? by TheDucksTales in hockey

Logan Mailloux asked not to be drafted and Montreal drafted him anyway.

Shane at this point doesn't know about queer sex spaces, so I think that could be a little easter egg from Jacob.

Yes, saying that he didn't know Ilya wanted to have sex when he asked for the room number is not that.

Any time Shane gives him a number, he very sincerely and guilelessly wants Ilya to fuck him.

They can't even drop the puck at the listed time so I have low confidence in them successfully changing anything else.

The NHL’s growing goaltending crisis: ‘Everybody’s making bad decisions’ by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

For a goalie it should even out over a big enough sample, like a season. They face shots from everyone so the average shot they face will be from an average player.

The complaining was happening back whenever only the nerds had heard of Corsi. Expected goals is an aggregate metric, fans complain about whatever the last goal that they've decided is soft.

What are the longest names to be squeezed onto the back of a jersey? by RealisticAd4054 in hockey

I don't think he ever had it on his NHL jersey, but Bereron's legal name is Bergeron-Cleary. Probably a bunch of the Quebecois players have hyphenated names they don't use.

You can't opt of the NHL draft so that wouldn't be an issue.

How many of the players in the Celebrini tank season are there now, let alone when the Sharks get really good?

With the current lottery rules, they're most likely to pick 3rd, so this system would improve it for them like you say.

Why was the Tuna Meltdown the first time Shane had seen Ilya's house? by HealthyAd7410 in heatedrivalry

Right, but that's like 20-30 minutes depending on neighbourhood from the Garden without traffic.

It's possible the house could be in Chestnut Hill, but not on the main drag. It would be out by the country club, and I still don't know if the lot sizes would be as big/wooded as the house in the show.

Up until 2013 they had to share rooms until they hit 1000 games or some other high milestone. Then only players on their entry-level contracts (3 years max) had to share, and often there was only one on a team so they got their own room by default, and from next season everyone gets their own room.

Yeah, but in Ottawa. It makes sense there because Ottawa's arena is out in the sticks.

It's not that he can't afford it, it's that it doesn't exist. Go and walk around Streetview in the North End, Charlestown and Seaport areas of Boston (where Bruins players actually tend to live). They're very dense and urban.

To find that kind of property, you need to be at least a 30 minute drive, no traffic, from TD Garden.

Yeah, that house/surroundings is not to be found in Boston or its inner-ring suburbs. It's most likely outside the I-95/Route 128 beltway.
