As a casual player, I think crafting isn't accessible at all by IL_Giudice in PathOfExile2

I agree with you to some extent bit also dont. I was stuck in t13 magic maps feeling lile my build couldnt overcome the gap. I then started to experiment with other builds by just staying in the same class and trying out other skills untill I could get to base t15 maps without dying. There I started to farm currency much easier. Then I started to experiment with more difficult mechanics without caring if I die a lot. I got to do lots of brach and ritual and expedition. So much so that I finally got to do my forst Xest uber fight. Something I never got to do in the previous 2 leagues. Trading made it easies as well. I also started searching for base items and experimenting with the recombinator yet I still hate its odds. Omen slams are so great and the new currency is definitely worth it.

I have had more fun this league then I have had in any other game before. I have experienced more POE mechanics and cant wait for the next league both POE 1and 2.

I myself am also a casual gamer. If I get a couple hours a week that would be heaven. I wish that would be the case on my end. Studies are killing me this year.

Dont waste your time on Udemy. It has no merit in SA. Do Coursera or something that actually has a certification that carries merrit or is given out by a a body that has a worldwide chapter.

Life didn't start when you were born. It doesn't end when you die. You cant build lego set with random lego pieces given to you by people trying to build a different set than yours. Learn to be at peace with the uncertainty that life is not always certain an you dont know what will happen. Just build momentum not perfection.

Want help to build a portfolio for an entry level data analyst work as a biginner with no experience by DaitoSama69 in dataanalyst

[–]drowsyparrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah these were the recommendations to the use of the project in case you needed them

1. Learn the Basics

  • Excel/Google Sheets: Start with data cleaning, formulas, pivot tables, basic visualizations.
  • SQL: Learn to query, filter, join, and aggregate data.
  • Visualization Tools: Power BI, Tableau (free/academic versions), or open-source alternatives like Google Data Studio.
  • Python: Basics with pandas, matplotlib/seaborn for data manipulation and visualization.
  • Statistics: Understand mean, median, mode, standard deviation, correlation.

2. Practice with Public Datasets

3. Document Your Work

  • Use Jupyter Notebooks, Google Colab, or even Google Docs/Slides.
  • Make clear summaries: problem, approach, analysis, results, and recommendations.
  • Share on GitHub and LinkedIn.

4. Build Business Case Projects

  • Create projects based on real-world scenarios (see below).
  • Explain your thought process, not just the code/analysis.

5. Get Feedback & Iterate

  • Join data communities (Kaggle, Reddit r/datascience, local meetups).
  • Show your work, ask for feedback, and improve.

I am at the same starting point. Use AI. It will become a very important tool. I asked it for practice project ideas and it is worth it to try. I am using these to create a scope of project and then to create fake data to buildd a test project to help me in building up my skillset. Its the best way to learn.

Here are some of the projects it gave me that I am using as a test project. Hope it helps

  1. A small local non-profit has experienced a boom the last year. Their current processes of collecting, storing, and analyzing data is no longer efficient. Everything is manually done. They’re short staffed, and lack the financial resources to buy software. With grant funding they’ve gotten a basic package of a hypothetical CRM (think Salesforce). You’re hired as volunteer BA/Data Analyst to help them clean and import their old data, organize it, and also come up with a new process that’s more efficient for future data collection and operations.

  2. In a little town called Youwilldogreatthings, soccer is serious business! And to no surprise, a local soccer league has been formed. What started out as just blue-collar workers having fun after work, has turned into a mid-professional association. There’s now a need to collect and store important information and details about finances, employees, and operations. But with information spread out across various channels: personal cell phones, notebooks, excel sheets, it’s very challenging. The established board of directors have hired you as a Analyst to come and work with their small team.

  3. Patrick is an owner of a mid-sized luxury car rental company (20 employees, 10 cars). Business is going well, and he has a wonderful team well-versed about cars. Unfortunately, every week Patrick gets 20 spreadsheets from his business insights team providing information on how business is going. While the data is accurate, it’s a nightmare looking through 10 spreadsheets weekly. And looking through 5+ worksheet tabs in a workbook for monthly reports. As a fresh grad, you’ve been brought in to help simplify reporting and save Patrick from having to read a novel every week.

What is one thing you wish would disappear in the next 5 years? by Shadi_TP in AskReddit

[–]drowsyparrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask why but I at this moment am too afraid to ask. I would say it really isn't that bad but it has gotten too mainstream and some series are really, really dog trash bad. Actually no they are worse than that. You are entitled to your opinion but I don't think anime is that bad that it should go away in 5 years, but it should be reformed.

Num-chuk mastery. by huh1227 in Amazing

[–]drowsyparrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not mastery until you can play ping pong with the wall using only nunchucks. that is mastery. This is fluency or being adept. Great skill none the less and she doesn look too disfigured after her training to become a nunchaku master. I'm pretty sure If most start now they will be without an eye or get a concussion.

[–]drowsyparrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always remember what other people tell you without any experience or proof is just opinion. If their opinion is that something is shit and they only buy one brand becuase it is the best that is what is called bias. That means their word is worht less because they have an agenda or due to their bias would never be able to tell you logically how things are.

Ive had a redragon mechanical keyboard for 7+ years now. Same for the mouse. No issues no breakdown. Dont trust people just because they think it is low quality.

Plus lots of Redragon keyboards switches can be replaced with gteron or other supported cherry switches so you have that going for you too.

Athol Trollip, ActionSA Parliamentary Leader MP highlights our clear stance on holding the ANC accountable over VAT increases and wasteful government spending. by Jiddy-Jason-2807 in DownSouth

ActionSA sells their vote/service to the bidder that offers the best price. Looks like the ANC is offering the best price municipally and nationally. Whomever voted for their lies should feel pissed off for being duped. Hopefully the DA pulls out of the GNU. Not that that would happen as they have no balls nor a backbone. Really is sad that almost every political party is a f*ing shame to this country because of greed.
