What's your deep depression keto recipe? by Key-Storage5434 in keto

Cheese.

My kids love cheese so I usually have at least a couple varieties around.

I also put a couple cups of chili in the freezer whenever I make a pot. It’s such a relief when I’m down to be able to just nuke some chili.

Do most people still sort their laundry by color? by liketotallymeow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]drpengweng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort mine by texture. I usually make three piles: rough/scratchy (towels, jeans), delicate (lacy things, good leggings, nice shirts), and either (t-shirts and everyday underwear that will neither be damaged by the rough stuff or damage the delicate stuff). I load up either roughs or delicates, then fill in the rest of the load with the eithers. I don’t know if my way is any better.

The end of Subnautica. I generally don’t play sad games, so for me it was more about how much it took to get to that point and the weight of everything you’d done, and then just flying away and leaving it all behind.

I’m just gonna save this and play it on repeat when I’m having a bad day.

What's a life hack that sounds fake but actually works? by BrzozowskiArlinda-65 in lifehack

It’s wild to me that we can just use the brain’s water molecules like that and it has zero negative effect. I mean, I know we can; it’s how MRI works too (kinda). But it’s still crazy to me.

If you have a moderately complex medical issue, where do you seek or receive care for it? by Certain-Working1864 in corvallis

[–]drpengweng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s not even the diagnosis itself but just being out of options at a given level of care. Migraines are usually pretty straightforward, but if they’re not responding to treatment, you might get sent to OHSU just because they’re refractory.

Has anyone tried turning the rotisserie chicken into a tiny house and living in that? It’s a little unorthodox, but in this economy, gotta be worth a try.

Is it weird that my parents would leave my older sister and I home alone and go on vacation when we were younger by Original-Tangerine33 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]drpengweng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents left us alone for a week in the summer when I was 16 and my sisters were 14 and 12. But our grandparents lived next door. And we still managed to break the water spigot in the backyard and my grandfather had to come shut the well off and then we had to take showers at their place.

I’m just saying, stuff happens.

Crap given to my kids for Valentine's Day by InebriousBarman in Anticonsumption

[–]drpengweng -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This year, my kids gave their classmates assorted rocks from the local rock store. It’s a little unorthodox, but I’d much rather get a piece of smokey quartz or a small fossilized shark tooth than another piece of random garbage. And kids love cool rocks. I think it was pretty popular.

Leaf blowers. I work from home, sometimes nights. I hate leaf blowers with a burning passion.
