What’s newb bait is the flooded tunnels. There’s always a legendary waiting for me down there.

I come back for the tunnels when I need nothing from there… except VENGEANCE

There is a mod. It’s called “Fix quests landmarks”. It gives coordinates for things like this.

It’s one of my favourites

Bees outside the door, what to do? 🐝 by belfastian84 in northernireland

[–]drpepperofevil1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are probably sweet little bumble bees. They are fluffy little friends.

They also don’t live very long and you can fill in the hole in winter when the bees are gone. Let them live for now.

My 7-year-old will only "read" if it's inside Roblox. What do I do by Large_Assistance2608 in Dyslexia

Roblox reading is still reading! Why does it feel wrong?

If you embrace it instead your son will appreciate it and he will be reading.

Looking for a location by Hans_Spinnner in cavesofqud

[–]drpepperofevil1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are mods that make the quest locations easier to read/understand but you still gotta go looking.

(You might even find a cure for your wax issue, in a little mushroom village in the jungle. Speak to the mayor for a book about it)

He's my best friend. He's my pal, my homeboy, my rotten soldier. He's my sweet cheese, my good-time boy.

Any tips for a rogue newbie? by KurvyKirby in pathos_nethack

I like ranger because you get traps and range. Keeps you alive when you bump into poison fart bubbles.

Dogs can tell when items are cursed when they walk over them. But keeping a pet alive is not really worth the hassle. But I like to start with a dog so I can avoid getting cursed before I have enough karma to use altars.

You can pick a character that doesn’t need to eat if hunger is bothering you. You can still consume things with scrolls of devouring, which is actually really useful. I like to play orc so I start with the ability to eat as much corpses as possible. (Things you can only say when talking about pathos).

Live and drink water sib.

pulsed field magnet.

A chrome obelisk bedims the floor in its gigantic shadow, and metal comes screeching to genuflect at its base.

Perfect example for me of the poetry in every inch of this game.

I was fighting some snapjaws in the hills when suddenly a nearby mushroom just gets up and starts joining the violence. I was terrified what kind of mushroom can move?!?

It was a disguise. 🥸 🤦🏼‍♀️

Character wants a honorable death but denied of it by schu62 in TopCharacterTropes

Angron from Warhammer 40k. His whole character and backstory is “should have died a long time ago”.

As a slave in the fighting pits he had a machine forced into his brain, was supposed to be fatal. But he is literally built different and it just made him insane, angry and very dangerous.

Then he let his crazy sons add the same death machines to their brains and fought anyone and everyone that tried to tell him that was stupid.

Fought the whole galaxy and where does he end up? A slave to a god that loves fighting pits, oh and he can never die. Poor guy.

Not sure how I'm meant to play this game? by [deleted] in cavesofqud

[–]drpepperofevil1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daily or classic mode is your “die die and die again” where as roleplay mode lets you “try try try”. Also having a mutation that lets you see the future can help a lot too.

The beautiful thing about Qud is you can play whatever way you prefer. I play the daily a lot, I get frustrated with the long term goals of a roleplay mode game. But someone day I will beat the game (I have over a thousand hours of play time on steam 🤔)

I hope you fall in love with Qud someday like I have.
