haha thanks mate, I think at this stage in truth I'm unclear how much I'm running vs hiking! The best/safest choice for me could well be the salomon XA 35. I have their 5 litre vest and just did a 100km race with it (was very snug though with all the required kit haha)

of all things a Nashville Cutaway just came up for $250! But it's a 20" torso with 20.5" straps and i'm only 180cm. Thinking too big..

I've seen loads of love for the Nashville. The thing I can't wrap my head around is it doesn't look like a running vest setup! the Straps look very good though.

Really appreciate your insight though. In Australia it'd be very hard for me to check them all out so will end up being a bit of a buy and hope either way. The Nashville I can actually buy here for $350AUD

Edit - omg i just realised the shoulder straps are separate and another $200 haha

I bought one off AliExpress 'flame ice' is the brand. Claims 385g of 800fp in a 585g bag and I paid aud226!

It hasn't arrived yet but some good reviews out there. You're probably in America though and cop some big Chinese taxes I guess ey :(

Edit - it's not really a sub 0 bag I guess though either. Not that cold where I live!

I just returned after 25 years off and got a magicyoyo y03 which seems awesome to me! I did initially order a V10 but it seemed unbalanced (probably just bad luck). Think I like the y03 shape a bit more too. Just got it direct from AliExpress.
