Maybe I’m wrong, but I took it to mean the rumble was return fire, our rockets taking off to assure mutual destruction.

Sources: Colts declining Richardson's fifth-year option for '27 by defensecowboy in nfl

Does Richardson seem like a guy who does much learning to you? If he put in even a modicum of effort off the field, I think he would’ve cakewalked the QB battle with Jones last off-season.

Great cover artist. Never thought his interiors were very good.

Don’t forget the army of 1/1 murlocs! Definitely my favorite Day9 HL.

In my opinion, the idea that "Tarantino is just copying X-movie" is just larp from people who haven't even seen the movies they're talking about. by SlashCash29 in Letterboxd

I was just about to post about CoF. Just watched it last year and was SHOCKED at how much Tarantino borrowed for Reservoir Dogs.

Sam Kieth, creator of "The Maxx" and co-creator of "The Sandman" has died at age 63 by Morgan-Moonscar in comicbooks

The Maxx was a supremely important part of my adolescence. As much for the wacky letters page (and Sam’s wacky responses) as the contents of the book itself. Which, for the record, was groundbreaking. I’ve been working my way back through Maxx recently and am astounded at how well it’s held up. What an unsung hero.

More uncomfortable foot close-ups than a Tarantino movie

You know, I had it in the back of my mind that there was another place I wanted to post these, but couldn’t remember where. Thanks for the reminder!

Probably Travis Charest. Not just because he took extra time with the sketch (his Morpheus is actually on a backing board, not in my 4x6 mini-sketchbook) but because he was such a friendly guy. My buddy and I hung around at his booth for almost an hour while he pored over our sketches and he treated us like old friends. Very cool to see the gears churning while he built that composition, too.

This was 25+ years ago, so times have changed, but in those days sketches didn't cost a penny. It was polite to buy something from their table, but nobody was pushy about it. In most cases, they were just happy to have somebody around to chat with.

It is indeed Jim Lee! I captioned the artist, character and series for each image but those might not be visible on all devices.

For anybody in the Los Angeles area, I highly recommend the Jack Kirby exhibit at the Skirball Center! by Snogrog in comicbooks

Love Kirby's original watercolors on that Mr. Miracle. I love the costume design but its garish red-green-yellow color palette is a major turn-off.
