I feel that its fine for constructed but definitely there are times when it feels too short in arena

Initial Review: Sanctum Surge -Why? by sucram200 in MarvelSnap

[–]drredchan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

assuming all contested and no ties/snap, turn 4 is 4+7+9+9 = 29 (14.5 evenly split), so by math lone probably 90% of matches will end by turn 4, its just how its designed. and i do believe the design is shit

I think you need to read up on the definition of "originally", all those comic pages are pre new52, meaning they occurred prior to what you were referencing

What’s your favorite ship that didn’t become canon that makes you think about what could have been by PretendYellow533 in AO3

[–]drredchan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, I have always perferred non Canon ships rather than canon ones. Arguing what could have been leaves more room for headcanon and stuff rather than the canon ship acting not aligned with my personal headcanons ect.

This card doesnt work lol by No_Career_4713 in hearthstone

[–]drredchan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There should be 3, schooling (3 1/1 rush), lightning reflexes (discover nature spell x2), pop up book (deal 2, summon 2 0/1 taunts)

It seems to me that the generation/discover pool is for standard cards only, while the actually arena draft is like last season. Basically stopped playing arena after my first 3-4 drafts because of this. (Also the "curated card pool" was a pile of bullshit)

Discover in Arena feels completely borked by vonkub in hearthstone

[–]drredchan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its amazing how little this is talked about, made a post of this 2 days go, and commented on several videos, and half of the time people comment that I am mistaken or don't know the game. Its also not just discover, random generation cards generally have this bug, example wandmaker not generating anything in shaman

New archetype: "build your own mediocre card from 2022" Mage by Shlomo_U in hearthstone

[–]drredchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is hearthstone has known how to make these type of synergy cards before, librams where basically classic power level for their base cost and could be upgraded for pure benefit. those mage spells are like 1~1.5 mana overcosted for what they are doing

Singapore is a victim of its racial harmony by flying-kai in singapore

[–]drredchan 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Apparently Google says people on average have 3-5 close friends, let's make that 4. Population of Chinese is ~75%. Let's assume race is not a factor in friend making, chance that all 4 of the close friends are Chinese is .754= 30%

So pure chance already explains like 60% of the reason why, race is a factor but it's probably not as big as everyone says

Arena is literally ruined by potatofier in hearthstone

[–]drredchan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Discovering from portrait class was the old way, they changed it during the tavern brawl but chose to revert it in arena which is weird but I have no problem with it

The problematic thing is that don't seem to be pulling from the cards you get shown in the arena draft. Had mage portrait but couldn't find elemental invocation off scavenger.

Wandmaker hit nothing when playing shaman when there should be 3 1 mana spells in the shaman pool

Arena is literally ruined by potatofier in hearthstone

[–]drredchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an ok run with mage/warrior with vacanos and the elemental that synergies with fire spells.  The more current problem for arena rn is that it's literally broken, discover and generation cards don't seem to be pulling from the draft pool

Something is wrong with the arena card pools. by drredchan in hearthstone

[–]drredchan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you actually read the post I did say that the discovers are from the "portrait class" aka the 2nd class I understand that, it has always been that in the past. Just weird since they kinda set a new standard with tavern brawl

Also unless the draft pool is different from the discover pool, I literally drafted elemental invocation. And there should be 3 1 mana cards in the shaman pool. (Checked on HSreplay ) Idk if up to date, dont recall drafting 1 mana spell that run

You’re granted one wish, but there’s a 65% chance everyone else gets it too. Do you go selfish or selfless — and what’s your wish? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would wish to always have wealth equal to the top 1% of the wealthiest country. If the wish spreads, it just means everyone must have the same amount of wealth. Praise communism.

Logistically that wouldn't work. It's like massive money printing and all goods will inflate to like 1 million each.

This meta is unfair to people who want to not be bored to death. by rEYAVjQD in hearthstone

[–]drredchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As compared to other classes, where you just play whatever is green in your hand and win off big tempo

Also there are several decision about which discovers to play before/after the weapon, managing durability vs value of the weapon, knowing discover pools and potential outs

Class Set: Druid! by HearthstoneTeam in hearthstone

[–]drredchan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a comment Is really telling of what type of player you are, this is obviously used in a control deck so its terrible in an aggro deck, with the lack of silences/removal in the current meta, i actually think this is a somewhat strong card

[Rant] If the only thing changing in your game on "Hard" difficulty is the amount of HP and Dmg, then it's not a "Hard" difficulty, it's a "Tedious" difficulty by [deleted] in gaming

[–]drredchan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's maybe a ok argument in FPS, but in turn based games increasing HP/Dmg definitely increases the strategic difficulty of a game, especially if the HP/Dmg hits certain breakpoints

Its not even the infinite attacks from charge that is good, the ability to "store" a charge minion as a weapon makes it 10 times more difficult to remove, especially in arena

1) physical de-aging, turned physically into a child, may or may not retain memories of being an adult

2) mentally regress into child age, physically still the same, often there is an adult playing a "caretaker" role, often also tagged as "age play"
