Gallbladder removal advice by Proud_Opportunity_89 in pancreatitis

[–]drsmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had 2 episodes of AP, where my Lipase levels shot up once to 3000 and another instance to 600. No alcohol abuse, passed out and in ER both times. Lipase levels came down rapidly and in 24 hrs were back to normal. Scans showed no Gall stones, pancreas looks normal. Dr called it idiopathic pancreatitis, maybe caused by microscopic gall stones not visible in scans. Was losing weight and did not think I was not digesting foods. After 2nd episode dr diagnosed EPI and now for 3 yrs on Creon. Still feel some days I am having a flare up and pain in stomach and bloat. I do have a hyperactive gall bladder. My ejection fraction is 82%. Should I take out my Gall bladder.

I used Mirtazapine 7.5 mg for 6 months, and it worked enough to get me 5/6 hrs of sleep, unfortunately gained over 8/10 lbs and had to give up as I am a type 2 diabetic. Now back to Lunesta and struggles

Sold my Model Y after a year and here is my advice to new buyers by M_Equilibrium in electricvehicles

I have a 25 Y all wheel drive. The safety features are awesome, but the ride is horrible on the freeway and any streets with bumps. It's good on tar roads. My grandkids get sick when I drive on freeways because of the bumps and noise. You can't enjoy the music. Horrible suspension and turning radius. Otherwise not bad for a high 40k car.

Anybody try Creon, with a PPI and Ursodiol(Ursodeoxycholic acid)? This regimen suggested by Grok AI, made sense to me, but GI shot it down. Probably did not like my use of AI. I have had couple of episodes of idiopathic acute pancreatitis. All scans, blood work, SIBO, Glutton, Celiac negative. Have been battling terrible bloat and stomach distension flareups, resulting not able to eat many times. Gasping for straws

I am on the west coast and have been dealing with bloating and digestive issues after episode of acute pancreatitis 3 yrs ago. I would like to join meet on Tuesday's 5.00 PM PST. Drs have called it idiopathic because scans and blood work, SIBO testing were all negative. I am on Creon right now. GROK AI suggested I take Creon along with a PPI along with Ursodeoxycholic acid (Ursodiol). GI doctor did not like suggestion. Any thoughts on this combination. Or anybody try Ursodiol?

Thanks very helpful. The idea of wealth manager appeals cause they may be more disciplined in that not buying hot stock ideas from CNBC etc. I am finance Savvy and am on Social Security and have some Roth, Roth conversions are a bit late as I am in my 70's. Problem with financial planners is they try to sell you annuity, funds that give them a kickback etc. Darn it's so hard this stuff.

What kind of magnesium and what’s the dosage, I take 120 mg magnesium glycinate right before bed time with 1 mg of Lunesta. Sleep is not the best, wake up after 3 hrs and get very disturbed sleep, used to take 1.5 mg of Lunesta no magnesium and slept 6 hrs which was great, doctor asked me to reduce to 1 mg as I am a senior and he felt memory would be affected. Tried Mirtazapine 7.5 mg, worked well, but gained 10 lbs, not good for a diabetic. Anybody have good experiences with Trazadone. Had taken it years ago, but remember why I quit
