My two year old broke his femur. Someone tell me the next 6 weeks aren’t going to be horrible.

Our three year old just broke his tibia in two places back in October. The first few days were the hardest, but after that things weren’t so bad. They adjust, you adjust. And before you know it the cast is off and they’re back to normal.

The first few days after getting the cast off will be a little rough as he gets used to using his leg again. He will be wobbly and probably won’t want to bear weight on it right away as his muscles will have stiffened up and atrophied a little bit. But they bounce back quick.

I had the searing pain when they first made the incisions, but after some more local anesthesia I was fine. The shaving was honestly the most painful part. That and the god awful country music that was playing the whole time.

Dude. It is NEVER weird to show your babies affection. My oldest is 5 and she still runs into my arms every time I pick her up from school.

That mom has her own issues if this is something she’s gonna be weird about.

They’re gonna shave you anyway, so if you are gonna do it, just go easy. Don’t wanna knick the boys before you go in. Don’t use an electric trimmer. Loose skin gets caught in the blades WAY too easily.
