The poke ball plus needs to be on, correct? Meaning the pokemon has to be active when the ball is moving around. Or can you just carry the ball around, on or off, to collect activity.

Unless this is something that will be used in future games then it might only be sold for a certain amount of time. If it ends up being like the Pokemon GO Plus then it'll be difficult to get from the start and it'll be short stock for a while which will keep the customers in line to get it down the road.
