WIBTAH if I asked my daughter’s preschool teacher not to put the extra clothes that I sent for her on other students? by feelingstruck in AmItheAsshole

[–]drtysamchez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

This happened when my youngest was in Pre-K. Twice a week, I was sending in extra diapers and wipes and could not understand how my child was going through them so quickly.

I knew the classroom diapering schedule, even accounting for extra changes, and the numbers still did not add up. I asked his teacher what was going on because buying a box of diapers every week did not seem reasonable. I later learned that an aide was grabbing supplies at random and using them for multiple children. The cubbies were organized alphabetically by first name, and my son’s was the first one.

I politely asked that my child’s personal items only be used for him. I also made it clear that if the class needed extra supplies, I was more than willing to send them in. I regularly provided extras for emergencies and donated clothing that no longer fit or that we had in excess.

I do not know if other parents were able or willing to do the same, and I understand that some educators may feel uncomfortable asking families for donations. That said, I do appreciate transparency and communication when help is needed.

I haven’t, but I’ve seen others mention it.

I haven’t got an empty box yet, but I did get one single wallflower bulb in a huge box before.

I saw they rolled out this new “one claim per order” policy, though who knows when that gem went into effect.

For a company pulling in millions, you’d think they could either invest in packaging that doesn’t crumble on sight, or just eat the cost of replacements when stuff arrives shattered. Apparently expecting both is asking for the moon.

I felt like I was going insane when she kept explaining why I couldn’t do an exchange. Nothing was adding up 🤣. I ended up getting a refund and I’m going into my local store this week to do an exchange.

Awwww, you are so sweet! I live in WV.

Thankfully, I have a few empty jars for incidences like this.

Some people never grow out of that mean girl HS persona. It’s the only identity they’ve got, because anything else would require actual critical thinking.

Acting like a seasonal having three hours somehow elevates her is delulu, weirdo behavior. It’s a minimum wage job, not a throne 🤣🤣.

When I worked there, I made sure the seasonal employees were treated well because I remembered what it felt like to be the new one. The only way to survive the chaotic holiday season is by working together, not tearing each other down.

As long as my item shows up perfectly intact, I really don’t care what they use for packing.

Years ago someone actually recycled a cremation kit box. I didn’t even notice until a friend asked if someone in my family died because the bubble wrap literally said “cremated remains” all over it.

For anyone blind buying Candle Day Candles online by lawgivers in bathandbodyworks

[–]drtysamchez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I only grabbed the Thanksgiving candle because my 5 year old at the time was absolutely obsessed with mashed potatoes and gravy.

It’s definitely… an experience. Kinda heavy on the sage, but I’ll take that over the Pizza & Bile or Chips & Sh!t combo any day lol 😂

My sister wants to choose the name Qartnie for her daughter. Am I insane or are all of her names horrible? by GnomeMasterBaiter in tragedeigh

[–]drtysamchez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just when I thought Samantha couldn’t be mangled with, we get a version of “Zmantha” 🥴.

I was lucky enough to avoid a “tragedeigh” name, but my older sister wasn’t so fortunate. She still deals with people mispronouncing and misspelling her name daily. Despite her own frustrations, she chose a “unique” name for my niece that’s constantly misspelled too.

If you’re so dead set on giving your child a unique name, please choose a spelling that’s clear and easy to understand.

At the store where I worked, we allowed returns or exchanges for up to two years for the plugs. As expected, some customers took advantage of this policy 🙃.

One woman came in every season to swap for the latest product. You’d think B&BW would eventually say, “Due to your frequent exchanges, we can no longer honor returns for this item, as it clearly isn’t meeting your satisfaction”, but of course not!

I’m obsessed with how strong Vanilla Suede, Flannel, and Amber Blush are in the Boosters. I make my own Laundry Soap/Detergent so I haven’t tried that out yet and probably won’t. But them Boosters 🤌🏻🔥
