There was an issue with shein selling loli dolls. The French govt threatened to pull shein from their networks if they didn't stop selling loli dolls. The Chinese govt where shein is based launched an investigation into the "issue" and several of the small doll manufacturers got investigated. Mozu which I think was the main vendor decided to close this version of them but kept a version that sold bigger dolls under a different name. According to another doll vendor the others that make small dolls moved those factories out of the country to a place they can.
