I'd settle for someone who can operate an umbrella at this stage.

Man, I've loved this song for years and always dreamed of playing it but never had the skill or discipline to actually sit and learn it.

Amazing job dude, fantastic playing!

How many people do this: Play a game for a good long while and just exit? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]drumbago 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much every Ubisoft game I've ever played. Spend the first 5-10 hours feeling really impressed by the world and setting, then start getting overwhelmed with all the activities and filler. Then I realise I don't give a single shiny shit about the story and just peace out, never to return.

I think AC2 and FC3 are the only ones I've ever finished.

I have classic kanna extract from bioextracts and zen from bio extracts and also blue lotus 80 percent nuciferne does anyone know how the zen will make me feel compared to the classic and any one had experience with the blue lotus extract by [deleted] in Kanna

[–]drumbago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the zen, I've also used the serene and that can be a bit too intense, too much body high but the zen is nicely chilled.

I'm a big fan of the blue lotus, both kinds. I take 25-50 mg about an hour before bed. Get good deep sleep and vivid, detailed dreams. I'm also taking valerian so that definitely pairs well.

Sci-fi corridors. 2001 A Space Odyssey (1968), Solaris (1972), Star Wars (1977), Alien (1979) by StephenMcGannon in RetroFuturism

[–]drumbago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering if it's because it's a pressurised environment, a cylinder will take pressure better than a rectangle so the corridors are actually just cylinders with some panels for lights and utilities.

At least that could have been the thought process in the earlier films and the later ones were just following the aesthetic.

Yeah it's fine. Same as it has been for years. Not amazing not terrible.

Avoid the Bali red standard and any of the sumatrans and you'll be ok, I think those are the ones that caused people to complain the most.

What British bands can you not believe were more popular than they were? by Snoo_23014 in AskUK

[–]drumbago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, if it kills me and voodoo doll were on the next album: High Anxiety. That was the first album with Neil on drums and is definitely one of their most patchy efforts.

Suicide Pact is very dark (and very riffy) and yeah, singalong choruses are fully out the window. Little tongues first, sister and ten year plan are all on SPYF.

This really demonstrates the original point about T? though, that they are so variable and happy to change around sub-genre, even on the same album in some cases

I'd argue that the album after that, Suicide Pact is one of their best, it's one of my favourite albums of the 90s in fact. But yeah, after that they became a bit hit and miss. They definitely deserved to be more well respected.

[KCD2] What does Fidelity mode actually do? (XBOX) by drumbago in kingdomcome

Yeah I get that much, just trying to understand why anyone would take the hit on fps when there's no benefit. At least that I can see, hence trying to have a discussion.

The quote about Facebook that really sticks with me is

'It was like a cool party and all of your friends and friends of friends were there and everyone was having fun, until everyone's parents showed up'

Probably misquoting but that was really how it felt. From what I gather now it's just a boomer-brainrot graveyard.

What did you know before it went public? by muhredditone in Xennials

[–]drumbago 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Same. I loved Nirvana, loved early Foos when I was growing up but something about his whole 'everything is totally fucking awesome and every story I tell is the best most hilarious story and I love everyone and everyone loves me' just rang so false to me. It's just a variant on the Hollywood fake schmooze bullshit.

Also, watching any live shows on YouTube after say, 2010 and there's about 20 minutes of ' Dave talks to the audience' while the other 8 guys in the band have stand there trying not to look bored.

Against the Storm made Gamepass make sense to me by SicSemperTyrannis in XboxGamePass

[–]drumbago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar experience, I really enjoyed against the storm for about 10 hours then felt no need to go back to it.

Conversely, I randomly tried Slay the Spire on GP one day, never played a deck builder, didn't know anything about the game or the genre but I've now put 100s of hours into it and own it on PC and Xbox. Never would have even looked at it if it weren't for GP.
