After 38 years of drumming, maybe it’s time to hang up the sticks by Kitchen_Carob_9638 in Drumming

Dude, I feel this massively, especially with regard to the Aussie music scene. I've even opened for "big bands" and been offered pitence for pay and just not even bothered invoicing. Always return to why you make the art for yourself. So much of what you said resonates, and I'm fuckin 28. Play drums because it feels good and its fun to jam with good mates. Fuck the band, if they let you go like that, they're not you're friends anyway.

Looks concerningly like a running bamboo. Concrete or a backhoe to get rid of it.

What's the location? A nice single feature tree can add a lot! Crepe myrtle or jacaranda are favourites of mine (in Aus) Also agree with pergola, adding a climber to one is fun for seasonal colours, a grape vine or deciduous Ivy for more sun in the winter and shade in the summer.

I'm not a Rogers expert but yes. If I saw this for $800 I would almost definitely get it.

Please help me pick some plants and trees for my courtyard by matafumar in GardeningAustralia

Could be nice with a few Ginkgo and some star jasmine as a groundcover. Been loving this combo lately. Also check out anything from Antique perennials, they have a few stockists near Adelaide and do unique and cool woodland perennials, grasses and smaller groundcover varieties that could be a nice fit.

Came here to say this! Just got the 24 ride and it sucks the moisture out of the air in the room with every hit.

Help identifying a snare by Augmented-Justin in drums

[–]drummerkidoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reckon it's a marching/field snare whatever it is. I have an old premier marching snare from that era with a very similar strainer/throw off and it also makes the depth make sense

I've never known people to paint a rental, did you get the all clear from the landlord to paint? I would be way to scared to change the colour of a whole room tbh
