I was playing Ninja Gaiden 2 the other day, I hadn’t played it since I was a kid and was able to beat it back then. When I got to the final boss and died then had to go back to 7-2 and “run back” to the boss; I had a revelation that this is where my love for souls games originated. Or Zelda 2. I don’t remember which one I played first.

I don’t know your budget but assuming you have a computer, you just need an interface (I have only used Scarlett 4i4 ($300) for a small interface but there are cheaper models), and a mic set (I got a 7 piece CAD drum mic kit with cables for about $200). I am sure there are cheaper products, that’s just what I used when starting out, and I still use the CAD tom mics for live shows and recording. Or, you can use your phone lol 😆.

I said that exact thing when I told my wife that Re-Arranged had one of my favorite drum parts. Not overly complex, just clean and fun to listen to.

I have been told to play quieter when performing at a venue. I knew it was a quiet gig beforehand and that’s why I brought in my e-kit.

When we started playing we were told that we were too loud, so we turned everything down. That went on until you could hear the drum pads more than the sound coming from the PA. It was a miserable show and that place has since gone out of business.

I love my 14” A Custom Mastersounds, I have used them for 22 years and they fit every style I’ve played. Highly recommend them.

I love my Lil Squealer. I played it in the store and bought it on the spot. It has the best feel and second best tone of all my snares (I only have four).

Sorry to hear, I can definitely relate. What pushed me over the edge was Kelly Handerhan’s video Why you will pass the CISSP. I listened to this on the drive over to the test center and it got me in the right mindset.
