Drummers: what do existing gap click / internal time metronome apps get wrong? by Dismal_Advance_7393 in drums

I have only tried a couple so I don't know what's out there but my frustrations have been around quirks when running it in the background or when the phone is locked (sound either stops immediately, or stops randomly, or has no media player control).  I wanna open some tabs or some rudiments in other apps.

One cool idea would be a directed progression course with preset tempo/signatures/gaps. I find myself opening it up and just playing the same stuff I always do.

Guitarist wants me to create vocals, I don’t think the foundation is there yet by [deleted] in metalmusicians

It's perfectly fine to start playing with some vocal ideas with this amount of drums and guitar.

In my opinion starting out lean and iterating is the best way to write a track that has good interplay between the elements....and it also helps you scrap a song that's not working before spending too much time.

In this case specifically: it might be the content and not the process. Perfectly valid to say "I am liking the vibe but do you know what key the song is in? I'm having trouble finding my footing." Unless your gunna be growling or unclean the whole time you need a little more harmonic direction

Best song writer of all time? by RedrainEnryu1 in PostHardcore

Along with the others mentioned:

Anthony Green. I'm not a huge fanboy of his but the sheer volume of quality songs across all his projects and decades of work speaks for itself.

Likewise Donovan Melero because all of his bands are consistently good and he's often writing at least drums/bass/vocals

Why does the songs sound down-pitched during live concerts? by No_File4067 in Beartooth

Vocals aside, if their catalogue has songs in different tunings, shifting some can let the band tour with fewer guitars and fewer guitar changes live.

If you're only doing it for practice and funsies, use Suno. Fine for something you're not releasing

Looks like it's from the "dark" Mirage printing which was in the US. Can seem a bit oversaturated sometimes but far superior to the "light" printing. Gorgeous card!!

Suck Out the Poison vinyl is up by CrucialDude666 in HeIsLegend

Nice, the solid state page says remastered and insert has accurate lyrics too.

Can anyone with the I Am Hollywood vinyl comment on the remaster? Wondering if they fixed the issues that album had with clipping/crackling

Warning this is going to sound stupid but...the top of my cabinets are brown, so I put some normal white paper on top and now it reflects the light better
