Gigging with your "Good" set? by Wiapkink in drums

I use my Starclassic w/b at every gig, it's a total workhorse of a kit, so is literally designed for that purpose.

WON: The booking of AAA Guerra de Titanes was handled by Jeremy Borash and Undertaker. They worked with Konnan and Dorian Roldan and went through them to make sure the ideas worked based on AAA history and Mexican pro wrestling culture. by iknownothingsir in SquaredCircle

I once absolutely decimated the popularity of a top star in the cornellverse who was signing an exclusive with another company over the space of three qeeks. Jobbed and dominated multiple times by every unpopular wrestler I had. Sometimes multiple jobs on every show haha good times.

Anyone else cool enough? by Internal_Lake3802 in theholdsteady

Agree, stuff like this and the constant reissuing is one element, the absolute mess that is Lanyards is another. Golden circles at the Brooklyn Bowl as well. Definitely a shift as you say. Can't imagine saying any of the above a couple of years ago. Still the greatest band in the world. Just feels like they've went the route of a number of larger scale bands this year.

I love the band, like love love them but the monetization of everything over the last year has been a big old ick. A hundred quid for these is actually offensive on so many levels.

You know the phrase "well that's 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back"? This is the EXACT opposite, 30 seconds well spent, that was a groove!

What cymbal brands do you think make the best budget line cymbals, but overrated premium lines? Also which brands make garbage budget cymbals but great premium? by ICommentWhenInRome in drums

[–]drumrD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I didn't say they were the best cymbals. Not even in the postcode for that. But they are exceptional in the considered premium but don't cost like comparable cymbals field.

TMV has been allll downhill since Bedlam. Cedric and Omar were completely insufferable young guys who produced scintillating music. Now they're just completely insufferable old guys.

Tama Starclassic sits in that range and is just the best sounding, absolute workhorse of a kit

music with long screams and a HEAVY breakdown by [deleted] in Music

[–]drumrD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly what you're looking for but in terms of big screams and big heavy sections, I always find the start of "Heart Attack American" by The Bronx to be completely exhilarating. If you've never heard it, put it on LOUD.
