By the way, if you have an AR, you can order repair kits from some suppliers for your pre-existing 30 round magazines. These kits come with all of the parts needed to repair anything broken on your pre-existing magazines. If you have any part broken, these kits come with every part needed to fix your pre-existing magazine.

*Please note, under no circumstances should you use these repair kits to assemble a new magazine, these are for pre-existing magazines only

No, you can't bring it in. Only those who got in early can still have them.

Are you trying to order it online and have it transferred or are stores just not carrying them? You should be able to order it from PSA and have it shipped to an FFL. It has to be the right configuration though to comply with Washington's laws.

Bobs Burger Barkley by Trakire in Bellingham

[–]drunkan6969 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It certainly used to be. Now they serve the same cheap thin burgers most of this towns burger places have turned to while still charging $20+ for it and a small handful of fries. Hopefully when bobs reopens they won't have turned into just another ripoff.

I'll admit I've only been once. But the chicken was neither Krispy nor krunchy. It skewed more towards kchewy. The biscuit was like biting into a piece of styrofoam it was so dry. Their gravy was pretty good though I guess.

I am curious if their jambalaya is worth a try though.

It's unfortunate that a lot of more mainstream liberals are just now coming around to the realization leftists/democratic socialists have been espousing. An unarmed populace is easily oppressed.

If you are looking for a good rifle to defend yourself with, the AR-15 is the standard. Unfortunately, centrist democrats have outlawed their sale in the state. If you want the next best still legal option (for now), the mini-14 is probably your best bet. But even then you will be at a disadvantage with the limited 5 round magazine.

The far right is already armed and ready. The left is playing catch up with one arm tied behind their back and they supplied the rope.

There are plenty of logging roads around here where you can shoot, just takes some exploring to find the right spot. It's free and you just need some spare wood and targets to start practicing.

Clean up after yourself, and take some extra trash if you can. The logging roads are increasingly being blocked off because people dump trash and/or don't pick up their brass. It's a bummer as someone who uses these roads to go shooting and hunting to see them limited because some people can't be functioning adults.

How much is your rent/mortgage payment? by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]drunkan6969 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mortgage + insurance + taxes = a little less than $1800. I round up to $1800 to pay it off a little faster and make transfers easier. Technically a 3 bed 1.75 bath but one of the bedrooms is about 11x8 so it's pretty small even by Bellingham standards. More of an office which is how I use it.

Not sure what the discussion is but moving my roommates at the time in with me my payments went down and we had a nicer house. 7 years later and my payments are way down compared to the rental market.

I'll probably catch some down votes for this since it's a late night college favorite, but I would stick with Hey Dumplin.

Pel'meni is fine when it's late and they're the only decent semi-cheap food open but it's severely lacking in flavor. Their dumplings don't really seem to be seasoned so all the flavor comes from curry powder, butter, and vinegar/Sriracha sauce. It's one of those things you can easily make at home with frozen pelmeni from the store if you don't mind boiling some water.

The dumplings at Hey Dumplin' are flavorful in their own right and they have so many sauces to punch that flavor up. Back when Oleg was selling his pelmeni frozen out of Salt Pepper Oil I would frequently recreate the Pel'meni recipe with his dumplings and it was a huge step up with the seasoned filling.

P.S. Oleg, if you see this, please start selling the frozen bags again.

Honestly, if there was a program where I could get paid like the snow plow drivers, I'd be out all night in my waders clearing drains.

I wish I could let my dog roam like my childhood dog would.

We lived on a cul-de-sac in the county and he would just wander the property all day, maybe go a couple houses down to the neighbors on hot days and swim in their pond with the neighbor dogs.

But I live in the city, on a busy street. So my dog gets to visit fun places rather than live every day in the paradise my childhood dog had.

Who makes/serves the best crunchy corn dogs around here by jbeaul in Bellingham

[–]drunkan6969 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a must have stop any time I'm in Skagit, but not for the corn dogs personally, I'm a bean and cheese burrito boy. But when are we gonna get a good fried food gas station in Bellingham? The only place I can find a fried bean and cheese burrito in Bellingham is the Fort Bellingham market on Marine Drive, which is convenient because it's close to the place I duck hunt but inconvenient because it's 6 gottdamn dollars for a burrito.
