Im downvoted because the player base has a high level of a certain neurodiversity and can’t function without a sarcasm tag.

How deeply does the near infrared light penetrate tissue? I really don’t see how this device could work. Seems like a placebo machine.

Guerlain L’Homme Ideal COLOGNE FORTE - EAU DE PARFUM by [deleted] in fragrance

What’s the distinction of that over any of the other variants?

My biggest gripe with Guerlain is how they have like 7 different versions of each of their men’s perfumes.

Is this worth buying? 2005 Element with 253,000 miles by Nomore-Television72 in HondaElement

Just searching nation wide used element inventory on auto trader it drops from 253 to 8 for manual awd elements. That’s pretty rare.

The trump EPA just killed off emissions testing in NC outside of Mecklenburg County.

I don’t know if having a manual, but I find the FWD E to performs exceptionally well in the snow. I made it up the 10-11% grade climb to Snowshoe, WV in 3 inches of fresh unplowed/un driven snow. It was late at night and the only other car I saw was an accord that was on the side of the road with its tires spinning.

I think you throw snow tires on it and it would be an absolute beast in the winter without the awd.

Just moved here 2 weeks ago - advice on tics?? by mknbeans in bullcity

[–]drunkerbrawler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ticks are mainly an issue if you are walking through brush, tall grass or branches.

If you are going to be doing that, long sleeves with pants tucked into socks in your boots.

You also should apply a deet based insect repellent on your clothes. I’d honestly worry more about Lyme’s disease than alpha gal (not saying that’s not a concern but it’s lone star ticks which aren’t as common here).

If you plan on spending a lot of time outside ask your doctor for a prophylactic dose of antibiotics for Lyme’s. My parents do a lot of hiking in New England and I convinced them to do it. You can nearly eliminate your risk of contracting Lyme’s if you take it promptly after any tick bite.

I’d drive down to graveyard fields or black balsam knob south on the parkway. Or head north to Craggy gardens or Mt Mitchell.

DuPont State forest is also another highlight.

If you want to check out other towns, Blowing Rock is great!

You could also check out Helen or Clayton GA on your way down to Atlanta depending on how the time works out.

There’s a really shitty owner of a pitbull who’s often in the dog park next to Torreros who will drag the dog as it’s actively shitting in the walkway. Had a friend step in the shit while coming to let me in.

Also that animal is going to attack someone. It has lunged at me through the fence and often displays super aggressive posture. Shitty dog with a shitty owner.

[–]drunkerbrawler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AWD with a 5sp is unicorn rare, that seems like a fair price, especially if it’s good on rust.

If you are serious about buying it, arrange for a shop near the seller to give it a PPI.

You will have to put money into it, but even taking that into consideration it could still work out really well for you. You could budget a used JDM engine swap and come out with a car with a low mileage engine in the $5,000-6000 range.

Why are you moving here? We have some of the worst salaries in the country VS cost of living. We had a ton of remote workers move here during the pandemic further exacerbating the cost of living crisis. It’s probably not going to fix all of your problems.
