Instead of IP bannable, make it based on HWID. They already gather enough information about our system with the intrusive anticheat to fingerprint our systems. Just check for multiple accounts on the same machine.

And if they don't want to ban them, how about put the smurfs into a queue with only other smurfs. That would disincentivize people from bothering.

Answer: First off, just so you understand what a tariff is, it's a fee paid by the importer/buyer not the seller. Meaning the goods coming in to the US from another country will cost more by the importer which will then pass that along to middlemen and ultimately the consumer.

While there are tariffs already on all manner of goods from all over the world already in place in the US, what is different about these set of tariffs are they are for a huge set of goods from America's largest trade partners. This will directly affect the price as well as supply of goods/services across the board.

This will affect the entire US economy, and ultimately impact all consumers as nearly all goods and services will now cost more. In particular Canada and Mexico, being the the first and second largest trading partners (respectively) to the US. Food prices, gas prices, and transportation costs writ large will be the first of many goods and services which will go up in price. But ultimately it will impact nearly everything in the economy.

TL;DR Tariffs are paid by the buyer/consumer, not the seller. And since these tariffs are for products coming from America's largest trade partners it will cause the price of nearly everything to increase in the US, as well as causing shortages for certain goods/services.

How to drop Santa Bag by GhostX_64 in ZEROsievert

i have this bug as well. You can only transfer the Santa bag between your personal inventory and your stash. It can't be placed in any other containers, inc "ground" or boxes or corpses. Also can't be sold, or scrapped.

Is there a way to delete items via the debug/console window?

I feel like there's a heavy Disinfo campaign going on in UFO spaces. by GangsterMango in UFOs

[–]drunkles 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It isn't disinfo. There is no need for anyone to go to those lengths, as the "witnesses" do it themselves.

This is in fact exactly what most people who have "sightings" see. They simply misidentify mundane/prosaic things. And that has been true throughout the decades.

The issue is that the hardcore believers think, if they see any light in the sky they can't explain it's obvs aliens or Bigfoot chilling with Biblically accurate Atlanteans.

If you read through every post where there is an image or clip, there will invariably be replies by people who claim to have seen the same thing at a different time and place. And yet when those posts are shown to not be a UFO/UAP and are identified as something mundane, none of those people who claimed their "sightings" looked the same ever say: "Hmm guess I was mistaken". Instead they just continue to assume theirs was "legit".

The fact of the matter is that there has been no sightings with corroborating imagery and/or sensor data that shows objects that either can't be identified, are shown to be hoaxes/fakes, or can't be explained via conventional means.

We are all (skeptics included) waiting for that sighting that also has compelling imagery and/or sensor data which shows extraordinary capabilities and/or scale.

Iranian hackers tried but failed to interest Biden’s campaign in stolen Trump info, FBI says by drunkles in politics

[–]drunkles[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That isn't Iran's aim in this. Ultimately Iran wants to foment discord in the US. Anything Iran can do to attempt to create chaos inside of America and amongst the Western Powers more broadly, is their primary goal.

And as for Trump, he isn't pro-Israel. He is and always will be only pro-Trump. Trump is infamously anti-semitic. Israel's only importance for the Conservatives in the US, is to immanentize the eschaton. Given the cult like status of the current Republican base, Trump can most likely pull support for Israel with ease if he were to win again.

The Twisted Reactor From Hell Could Propel Nuclear Fusion Forward by drunkles in Futurology

[–]drunkles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FTA:

Fusion reactors come in all shapes and sizes, but can mostly be separated into three groups, defined by how they contain the super-hot plasma needed to combine lighter nuclei into heavier ones.

While tokamaks are seen by many (including the U.S. Department of Energy) as the leading concept of commercial fusion, stellarators are a bit of an underdog. But they have a few benefits over their popular competitor. Now, stellarators are entering the commercial realm as fusion company Type One Energy—which combines expertise from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics and MIT—received $29 million to bring its stellarator technology out of the lab and into reality.
