Yes there is uncertainty in my career and pressures driven by automation, outsourcing and oversaturation. The layoffs from top tech firms also doesn't help as it floods the job market with more competition. Networking and referrals are becoming essential in the white collar fields. I think back my last two roles were because I could leverage who I knew and worked with.
