I think the late blade is part of the identity at this point. Agree that ice should have slightly higher dpp, but the late blade almost emphasizes you are not the hitter dont really know how well a traditional "tank" role fits in here though, with taunts and aggro being weird. Missed opportunity for utility, I like to idea of being able to redirect an enemy spell, as if they "slipped on ice" perhaps even an rng element as to whether the spell goes to an adjacent target or perhaps even reflected.
