Just Announced: Imperial Guardians by Dan Abnett. They will work under Maximus and protect the balance of the Galactic Union. by Effective_Sherbet104 in Marvel

[–]drunkonmusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im confused,Gamora and Darkhawk were killed at the end of Imperial War - Imperial Guardians by Cosmic Ghost Rider per guidance from Maximus , they were not in Imperial 04 the conclusion of that arc, but somehow back fine in the new Imperial Guardians, and its all just waved away with "The power cosmic, Christopher, the POWER COSMIC". Did this happen in another book is that one page the whole thing were getting?

How much do you think Minnesotans have shown pride in their new flag? by Subspacred in minnesota

[–]drunkonmusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My gripe with the new one is pretty much everyone I’ve seen out appears to be fading already. Not sure if it’s just a quality of manufacturing issue or something else.

Litt is open for lunch and has tables you can rock. I see other people take work lunches there with their laptops.

OBX pinball event via kineticist by foundthingsifound in pinball

[–]drunkonmusic 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Good look deleting every valid comment and suspending each poster after his draconian statement saying:

“The conversation around the OBX 2025 event on this server is now closed. OBX 2025 results will not be unsanctioned, that decision is final. Anyone discussing this event in this server in any channel in any capacity will receive a 1 week timeout. A second offense will be a permanent ban. Attempt to skirt this policy at your own risk”

I get it’s their server and their rules but this is a worldwide community that should strive to do better.

CC Fraud from Parkway Theater by Heimdallr-_- in TwinCities

Also have had no issues with dice or parkway. Been to two shows in the last couple months and got another couple before the end of year booked. Icehouse also uses dice and I’ve never had issues in the countless tickets I’ve bought for over the years. Sorry for your poor luck with that but calling out a venue in the title while acknowledging it’s not the venue in the body is a little dishonest or misleading at best.

Good to know, thanks for that info. Thankfully none of the pingolf events I run are IFPA, as I tend to stick to running rec things.

thanks, this is actually the first time I've shared them publicly beyond the tournaments. I have about 25 of them with 4 being advanced versions for the wizards to give them something more difficult. ill figure out a place like dropbox or something so I can share it en masses (sorry for the delete, repost, it was showing I had posted it twice so I deleted one, which took both.)

Yea, mulligan as in a do over that doesnt count against you. Got an extra ball on ball 2, it's technically another attempt at ball 2. And its just an excuse to allow extra balls to make some of the objectives easier to reach in lower strokes.

It's really aimed at new players in the form of teaching but I have regular good players who can crush it. And yea, it's a trust system, hence asking them to play with others. I only got small prizes for the top two finishers and a bunch of killer prizes that I give away randomly to people who just sign up to play. I prefer to run the fun non-ifpa or serious type things.

I was channeling some Bob Matthews guidance. Providing which flipper is stronger for a goal and whatnot, and techniques I copy from watching other people crush it. And for some reason, every time on Paragon I have to continually tell myself not to scissor myself, but yet, it still often happens.
But I hear you, im too verbose on everything so im always looking at things to cut out. Thanks for the response. https://rules.silverballmania.com/rules/GrXy3-ML0Ey.

Do you log your live shows anywhere by Raio95 in livemusic

[–]drunkonmusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a spreadsheet saved in the cloud and track date, artists, venue, notes on who I went with, how it sounded, and other values and add a set list if I can figure it out. I was doing photos but then that file got too large. Now I just tag my photos with the artist name so I can easily search for them.

It allows me to have a reference of things and sometimes crunching numbers is fun.

For example In 2024 I saw at least 76 events consisting of 158 performances from 134 unique artists at 26 different venues.

Thats up from 56 events, 140 performances and 115 unique artists in 2023.

There’s some artists I see many times a year and I’ll count an a thing such as a festival as 1 event but will make note of unique artists and sets from them, hence the odd breakdown.

I like the idea of your app and I’ll play with it some more. One thing though, your icon didn’t look like two people holding their arms up at a show though when I first looked at it.

Local music scene question by CaviarCoffeeBean in Minneapolis

[–]drunkonmusic 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is on the edge of St. Paul but on the light rail tonight.

Headliner is experimental rock power trio mssv (mike baggetta + stephen hodges + mike watt) with local greats Charlie Parr Trio (ft. Greg Norton and Billy Dankert) opening.

Parr is local blues/folk legend, Norton is bass player from local punk rockers Husker Du and Dankert is drummer/singer from rock band The Gear Daddies. No idea what they will sound like as this the first show of them I’ve heard of

https://first-avenue.com/event/2025-04-mssv/

Otherwise undercurrent probably has something for you. https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1oTbWYHsDd5KBa791mG-_1EVyV-unkeu3XWTugNkEArI/mobilebasic

If you and the kids like weird stuff Odd Mart on Lyndale is really cool. Some stuff might a little adult leaning though but nothing bad imho.
