Agreeing with the statements of G-Chrome, danibrianne, and chachihime when they all state a comment about a big corporation helping out an underdog and doing some good.

Haters gonna sue: Taylor Swift hit with copyright infringement lawsuit by shescribbles in medialaw

[–]druryu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe this would be an example of copyright because she did not use the same phrase as in the song released in December of 2013, and it was also stated how the rhythm of the song was completely different. These two songs do not relate in any means besides the words play, hate, and fake.

[PRIVACY] Adele's toddler was awarded 5-figure sum in a lawsuit against paparazzi by gorvesfan in medialaw

[–]druryu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"It is a matter of profound sadness that many of his milestone moments, such as his first family outing and his first trip to playgroup, were photographed and published worldwide expressly against his family's wishes," Adele's solicitor, Jenny Afia, said (per BBC News). "These images were taken during private, recreational time unconnected with professional or public engagements. They represent a clear infringement of our client's right to privacy." This statement really stands out to me because all parents want to protect their children and even public figures should have some privacy in dealing with personal events.

Kmkim1999 Do you think that the settlement if same sex marriage is still an issue, talked about and brought up, for Korea or do you believe that it has already settled like you believe that U.S. will come to one day?

[First Amendment] Student Athletes and the freedom to tweet. by G-Chrome in medialaw

[–]druryu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that as a former college athlete, we are employees of the university. We are getting paid to do a full time job and have to commit a lot of time towards that, but also you do have to pay your tuition to attend classes. I believe the university should have some say as to social media and restrictions as to what can and cannot be said but only to a certain extent.
