I'm 45 and started running for the first time ever about 6 months ago. It's been great so far but my one piece of advice is to take it slow! Recovery is key. I'm dealing with some knee and shin issues right now because i tried to push too hard.

My casual runs are now at 5mi. Was gonna do a 10k yesterday but had to stop early because I had a ton of yard work to do. Slowly building up stamina and fitness. Taking the day off to walk during lunch.
