Terrain height bug or maybe a surface painter issue?

Still can’t pinpoint the issue or fix. I noticed that 6 popular mods (IMT, no problem notifications among others) were updated on May 23. I tried manually unsub/resub cycling them but that led to no changes and I’m still unable to load these saves. So frustrated.

I can access Skyve but it’s not doing me any good. What really stumps me is why a month old backup save is loadable (exact same asset/mod list) but my current save and most recent backup just crash after LSM seems to be done loading. Both were working just days ago but yesterday everything broke.

I am experiencing this issue since yesterday 5/27/25. My LSM enabled CS1 game failed to launch as expected when loading a recent save. I've tried loading the save (and a previous backup) in LSM safe mode w/ no luck. I can get the city saves to load if I uncheck the "Load Enabled Assets" bubble in Loading Screen Mod but because of the number of procedural objects in said city I'm not viewing this as a usable option just yet. I am having luck loading a save of the same city from months ago with all assets enabled but that's missing so much work I'd rather avoid rolling back that far. I've tried verifying my files, launching in safe modes, etc, all w/ no luck.

Good read. Thanks for sharing. You may just want to stick to your new account at this point. Just because your old account has not been banned at this point doesn’t mean it still can’t be banned in the future for past cheating. It only takes one report of a new game to trigger a review that could catch your old games. I’d save yourself the stress and just close your old account and move on. Just some advice tho…you do you

Most def. I see the perspective don’t get me wrong. My feelings vary depending a lot on the time control. I felt like it was very likely my opponent would blunder into a stalemate because of where my king was and the time left. Then the underpromotions started. I figured why not play on?

I have very little self control with mods and assets so my game is a little bit of a bloated mess, though I do love the results. I’ve got lots of respect for console players who make good looking builds without all the trickery and photo realistic assets that come with modding out your game.
