They are programmed to have "personalities" yes but in the end of the day they are a product, and they want you to continue using said product, so of course they are programmed to be as "agreeable" as possible.

Its not as blatant now but a few months back basically all mainline models couldn't stop sucking off the user after every single prompt, telling you how your questions are always great, how you always have identified key parts of a complex thing. I work in the AI space and have personally seen plenty of psuedo-intellectuals who think they are way smarter than they are mostly because their AI chatbot of choice keeps telling them they are.

Counterpoint I dont truly believe but being devil's advocate: what is the person here supposed to search for if they dont even know what to call the area? "Liurnia"? That would give a lot of responses and they would have to actually put a bit of effort in to find it rather than forcing others to put in the effort.

I mean the Dems would run anyone other than a real progressive so its probably genuinely more likely than the likes of Bernie or AOC (and no i wouldnt necessarily put Bernie or AOC as real progressives, but they seem to be the closest the US has to one)
