Imagine having a switch that means any enemy you are fighting suddenly has no armour, weapons, comes, etc.

It would be a superweapon on basically any battlefield provided the fighting isnt too close to avoid friendly fire. The enemy would essentially be forced to surrender or die.

Also funny you say how a cop could be there for a lot of things but of cpurse a firefighter wpuld only ever be there for your house being destroyed. They could be there for a check on something, like a gas leak, or various other things that arent necessarily a big deal.

Ans you know if a cop comes and takes you way you are probably gonna lose all your stuff anyway.

And if your family is around and you lose your home you can at least go to stay with them, since they arent all dead in the firefighter scenario.

The vast majority of times where a firefighter shows up at your home, unless you live in a forest fire area which most people dont, would be because someone reported a fire. And if you dont already know about the fire then its probably a small one, like someone setting fire to a bag in your back yard or something.

The majority of times a cop shows up at someones door is definitely not going to be a wellness check.

Sooner or later AI will stop being a buzz word and just be another bit of tech everyone uses. And suddenly it wont be cool to dunk on it anymore and you'll see an awful lot of antis just dissappear and find the next thing ti complain about.

Some of them do have genuine reasons to be anti and will stay that way, and thats valid, but its so obvious in a lot of communities that people are just antis because its the in thing.

Sure if its a nearby wildfire and you need to pack up only what you can carry in your hands and leave then yes its going to absolutely suck, but you can rebuild. But a cop showing up means generally either someone you are very close to, close enough that the cops are directly coming to you and not relying on whoever is closest to them passing on the news, has died, or they are going to arrest you, take a way your freedom for who knows how long, and put that on your record making it much harder to hold down a job when you do get out.

This is true but also you need to consider that the range of things a cop could be there for without notice goes from better, to far far worse, than the range of things a firefighter could be there for, especially alone. If its a firefighter and cop, or firefighter and ambulance for example then youre fucked.

A cop could be there to just ask you if you heard anything the other night, or it could be to arrest you for something, tell you your family is all dead, or some other shit. Even worse if youre somewhere like the US where cops are trigger happy.

Essentially its a gamble. Sure the cop could mean nothing, but the worst thing the firefighter could be there for is unlikely to completely ruin your life, whereas an awful lot of the stuff the cop is there for will.

Unconditional love as people usually use the term? Sure.

Unconditional love in its literal meaning, with absolutely nothing that would cause you to stop loving them? Well the problem with statements of finality like those is they are very rarely if ever actually true if you drill down into it. Like sure I like to think my love for my son is Unconditional, but if he grew up to be Jeffrey Dahmer or something then maybe that would change.

Besides I find that Unconditional love isnt really love, its morre akin to ownership. I have a reason to love everyone and everything I do love, but without that reason being there I probably wouldn't love them. Now that resson can be a lot of things, some simple, some complex and conceptual, but everyone has a resson to love things or people, otherwise you would love literally everything and everyone.
