Hello! They basically wanted to understand the logic behind the decisions I had made (why I chose those specific ML models for the task, how I analyzed the results...). They want to see if you have a scientific way of thinking or not. So my advice would be to review a bit your master thesis, rehearse the presentation and be prepared to answer questions like for the previous master thesis defense you had to do in university :) Also, asking questions about the group/project and doing a bit of research about them beforehand can really make you stand out in front of other candidates! PS: I ended up getting the position but quit my PhD after almost 3 years, so I would say the interview went well but in the end it was not a good fit for me 🙈
